Nov. 12 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.

Nov. 10 Day Shift

6954 Glen Errol Way- Burglary-

Police met with the reporting party who stated that several items were taken from the garage at this location. The complainant stated the unit located at 6954 Glen Errol Way was used as the office and maintenance area for the other duplexes. The complainant stated on November 09, 2020, he came to work at approximately 0800 and found several tools missing out of the garage of the duplex unit. The man further stated that he found the back door unlocked. The complainant did not have video surveillance of the incident and believes the burglary took place over the weekend between November 6th and November 9th. The man stated a former employee knew where the items were stored and could be a possible suspect. 

4226 Belvoir Drive- Property Damage-

The caller advised a Fed ex truck struck his vehicle’s side mirror. The truck was gone before police arrival.

6302 Ringgold Road (Arbys)- Vandalism-

Upon arrival police spoke to the manager. She advised on 11-9-20 she noticed the outside glass of the front double pain window was broken. She advised she thinks the damage was caused sometime between 11-7-20 and 11-9-20. There is no suspect information.

1407 McBrien Road (Superior Styles)- Suspicious Person-

The caller advised she observed an unknown male in the parking lot through her Ring camera system. Upon arrival police encountered a man on the lot. He was checked for warrants and advised to leave the property.

505 South Moore Road (OLPH)- Broken Down Vehicle-

The caller advised of a black truck stalled out n front of the school causing a traffic issue. On arrival police were able to assist the vehicle from the roadway.

100 I-75 North (Welcome Center)- Abandoned Vehicle-

The caller advised of a black Kia parked in the lot for an extended time. On arrival the vehicle was stickered.

I-75 South Exit Ramp- Suspicious Person-

The caller advised of a white male dancing on the exit ramp. Upon arrival officers contacted the male and advised him to find a different place to dance. He left the area.

6708 Ringgold Rd. / Arrest:

Michael Martin was arrested for public intoxication.
