Pioneers Blank Cats, 35-0

In its final game of the season East Ridge downed Hixson, 35-0, at Raymond James Stadium, Thursday night.

The Pioneers (3-7, 3-3) were led by Alonzo Russell, who passed for two touchdowns and rushed for two more. He competed 11 of 19 passes for 245 yards and piled up 75 yards on 14 carries.

All in all, East Ridge amassed 450 total yards.

Jaylen Boykin was on the receiving end of a 25-yard Russell pass for a score in the first quarter.  He also ran 18 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Tre Alexander caught a scoring toss from 23 yards out in the second quarter.

He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
