Red Bank handed visiting East Ridge its second loss of the season, 22-10, Friday night in  Region 3 3A football.

The loss evened the Pioneers record in the Region at 1-1 and 3-2 overall.

East Ridge got a mid-range field goal on its opening possession to take a 3-0 lead. East Ridge tied the game 10-10 in the third quarter, as Lorenzo Stewart recovered a Red Bank fumble and rambled 70 yards for the score. A Braxton Moffett interception kept Red Bank from scoring before the half and the teams entered the locker room at intermission deadlocked 10-10

But, Red Bank’s defense stifled East Ridge in the second half, and two rushing touchdowns by Jackson, one with just more than two minutes left in the game, sealed the win for the Lions (2-3, 1-1).

East Ridge will attempt to rebound from the loss as it travels to Hixson next week.
