October 28, 2016 By Dick Cook 0 Comments

East Ridge fell behind by 21 points only to rally behind the rushing of Traneil Moore to prevail against Chattanooga Christian, 39-28, Friday in Region 3/3A high school football.

The win evened the Pioneers record for the season at 5-5, and 3-2 in region play.

Chattanooga Christian (5-5, 0-5)  put East Ridge in the hole in the first quarter with scoring passes of 67 and 32 yards. It added to the lead in the second quarter with a short scoring run.

Moore scored on a five-yard run in the second to get the Pioneers on the board. Kashawn Cosey hauled in a 21-yard scoring strike from Alonzo Russell, before a 27-yard field goal by Mohammed Hasan cut the lead to 21-17.

The teams then traded touchdowns in the third quarter.
