Pioneers Win in Boys Soccer

East Ridge got three goals each from Coy Vandergriff and Adam Adem to defeat Tyner, 9-1, in District 6 A/AA boys soccer, Tuesday.

Eric Reynoso scored two goals of his own, while Bryan Alonzo also got in on the scoring.

In addition, Vandergriff was credited with two assists. Mohammed Hasan, Joel Matias, Erik Lopez, Rivaldo Yoc Bamaca and Alonzo also had assists in the contest in which East Ridge held a 6-1 halftime lead.

The win improves the Pioneers’ record to 6-2 in district play and 9-3 overall.
