Police Briefs Aug. 7

August 7, 2019 By Dick Cook 0 Comments

The following information was provided from East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.

August 6 Day Shift

3504 Shelby Circle:

The reporting party requested police assistance while she attempted to retrieve property from her estranged husband.  Upon arrival no contact was made with the husband.

941 Spring Creek Road:

Dispatch advised officers of a panic alarm coming from the front registration desk.  The alarm was determined to have been activated accidentally.

728 Frawley Road:

Police spoke with the manager of the Parkridge Apartments about trespassers in the pool.  The manager told officers he received a complaint this day from a resident about three juvenile females who climbed the front fence of the pool area and gained access without permission.  None of the juveniles involved live at the apartment complex.  Management recognized the juveniles from previous encounters over the last few weeks.  The juveniles are believed to live in the neighborhood behind the apartment complex.  It is believed that they cut through the apartment property during the day as a shortcut.  The three (3) juveniles were recorded on security cameras as they entered the pool around 7:00 pm on August 5th and then as they were leaving around 8:00 pm.  During that time, a resident entered the pool area and was harassed by the trespassing juveniles.

730 Germantown Circle:

The complainant came to the East Ridge Police Department to file a report concerning her Instagram account being hacked by a friend. The complainant advised the friend is missing some money from her bank account and blaming her for taking it.  The complainant feels the friend has hacked her Instagram account and is calling her names on this account.  Police advised the complainant to forward all the recent messages to the police for evidence.

6700 block Ringgold Road:

Police met Marcus Faulkner, who abruptly threw a small purple box when he realized police were nearby.  The box landed next to an orange box.  Officers located drug paraphernalia in both boxes.  Faulkner was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia.

1120 Chippewah Drive:

Police responded with the East Ridge Fire Department to a report of wires down.  The wires were found to be cable wires and they were reconnected.

3137 Seminole Crest Lane:

An alarm was activated at this location.  Police spoke with the homeowner, who advised that the alarm had been accidentally activated.

601 Walnut Street:

Quiana Walker was arrested on an East Ridge warrant.

Patrick Byrd was served with two (2) warrants at the Hamilton County Jail.

639 Camp Jordan Parkway:

Chick Fil A employees advised that a male subject with a dog had been at the restaurant for two (2) days and requested police to ask him to leave.  The party agreed to leave without incident.

Night Shift

1302 Adonna Lane:

Police responded to this location after receiving a report of a theft.  Police contacted the reporting party who advised police the property was returned while police were present in the living room.  Police never observed any other subjects in the home, to which the reporting party was referring, except for her roommate.
