Police Briefs Feb. 15

_ 1507 Karwill Ln.: Police were called  to the address, Thursday, in regard to a suspicious person. According to a “pass along” report, when an officer arrived he confronted a man who identified himself as Robert Ricketts. Ricketts, the report states, “was being jittery, moved his arms uncontrollably and claimed people were in his house.” The officer asked for consent to “pat down” Rickets. The report states that Ricketts reached into his pocket and removed a small, clear bag containing a white substance believed to be methamphetamine. Ricketts, 38, was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail where he was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.

_ 4150 Monroe St.: Police conducted a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Ringgold Road on Thursday. According to a “pass along” report, the driver of the vehicle, Tammy Stone, was found to have active warrants out of Dade County, Georgia and was taken into custody. The front seat passenger, James Green, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and presented a Georgia ID of Joshua Brant. Green, 40, of a Wildwood, Ga. address, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Criminal Impersonation.

_ 4214 Ringgold Rd.: Thursday, Daphne Tackett was arrested on an East Ridge warrant following contact by Chattanooga police at the Chatt Inn on 23rd Street. Tackett, 37, was wanted on a theft charge.

_ 5080 South Terrace: Police were called to the theater in regard to an auto burglary, Thursday. The victim told police that he realized someone entered his vehicle while he was inside watching a movie. The suspect stole a purse from a woman who had accompanied him to the movies. A report states that the woman’s ID and social security card were inside the purse.
