Police Briefs for Aug. 27

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

Aug. 25 Day Shift

5100 Hixson Pike (warrant service):

Vernon Jackson and Stacey Jackson were arrested at this location on East Ridge warrants for shoplifting and probation violation.

3700 block Norma Drive (fraud):

An elderly person on this street was scammed by a caller for a total of $10,500 of gift cards.

6725 Ringgold Road (shoplifting):

Blake Drouillard (w/m) was criminally trespassed from the Family Dollar after shoplifting several items and then discarding them after observing police in the parking lot. Management declined prosecution. Miranda Pace, the driver of the vehicle, was arrested on an extraditable warrant through Panama City, FL. She was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

1900 Close Road (arrest):

Police responded about a group of Hispanic males allegedly chasing a woman in the area. Police arrested Fernando Hernandez-Hernandez, Juan Elias Ramos-Rafael, and Faty Ortiz for alcohol related offenses.

 Night Shift

1014 South Seminole Drive- 20-011190-

The complainant reported someone stole item out of his storage unit sometime between 8/19 and 8/20. 

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 20-010756):

Mel Bryant Jr turned himself in on two East Ridge warrants, Domestic assault and driving without a license.

700 block S Lovell Ave/ Overdose- 20-011195:

Police assisted EMS with an overdoes on the street. Upon arrival a male subject was found unresponsive. Police gave him two dosage of Narcan before he became awake and alert. He was transported to Park Ridge East Hospital for further evaluation

1517 Tombras Ave/ Warrants service- 20-011191:

Police took Charles Jay into custody at the East Ridge City court for an active East Ridge warrant.

1130 Chippewah Drive- Deceptive Practice- 20-011199-

The complainant called police stating her daughter took her vehicle. The vehicle was returned while police where on the phone with her. The woman then wanted to report her daughter stole her debit card information to buy a $2000 computer from Amazon. The woman could not provide proof of the transaction and stated she would call when she could provide proof. Report on file.

941 Spring Creek Rd (Disorder 20-011205):

Derrick Watson was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct after he was drinking beer on hospital property and screaming and cursing in the hallway of Labor and Delivery.

6300 Ringgold Road- Narcotics violation- 20-011202-

Timothy Matthews was taken into custody after he was found passed out in his running vehicle in the drive thru of Krystal’s. A search of his vehicle was conducted, and officers found marijuana, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

5356 Spriggs Street/Agg. Burglary:

Between May 23, 2020 and August 25, 2020, person(s) unknown entered into this residence and stole a Harrington-Richardson M1 Garand, a Ruger SR7.62X51 – .308 rifle, a Viper Vortex PST 6-24X50 scope, with two gun cases and about $2,500 in change.
