Police Briefs for June 5

June 5, 2019 By Dick Cook 0 Comments

The following information was provided from “pass along” reports by the East Ridge Police Department.

June 4 Day Shift

520 Sharondale Road:

The resident reported that two (2) of his vehicles were entered overnight, and approximately $348 cash was stolen.  The vehicles were both left unlocked, and one of them had the windows down.

323 Camp Jordan Parkway:

Police responded to a disorder between a man and woman located behind a mulch pile in the gravel parking lot of Camp Jordan.  Upon arrival, police contacted James Webb and Haley Bryson.  Both said they were homeless and woke up angry.  They both said the altercation was merely verbal in nature.  Both were advised to leave.

3701 Whitehead Avenue:

The resident reported that the rear passenger window of her Hyundai Elantra was shattered overnight, although nothing was missing from inside the vehicle.

914 McHann Drive:

The resident at this location reported finding Mitchell Culpepper’s debit card in his yard today while mowing the grass.  Police were unsuccessful in contacting Mr. Culpepper at his prior residence as well as attempts to reach him via telephone.  The debit card was placed into the property and evidence intake at the East Ridge Police Department.

Night Shift

3500 Dupont Street:

The resident stated that a white Dodge Ram was driving on Dupont Street and followed her vehicle twice in a 30-minute time period.  Police looked through the area but did not locate the vehicle.

915 South Seminole Drive:

Parkridge East Hospital called in stating they believed a female patient left the hospital with her IV still in her arm.  Police contacted her at her apartment, and she stated she took the IV out of her arm while still at the hospital and thought she could leave.  Police told her to wait for the nurse to take out the IV next time.

3920 Ringgold Road:

A woman stated she went to cash out from the Dollar General when she realized her purse was missing from her cart.  Police observed the woman enter the store with the purse but due to bad security video at the store and “no record” errors appearing, police were unable to determine if someone stole the purse or if it fell out of the cart.

1002 McHann Drive:

A caller advised that she hit her neighbor’s trash can while coming home.  She stated the neighbors are out of town but felt she needed to call and make a report.  Police were able to safely pick up the trash can and put it back.  The trash was not damaged during the process.

3713 Ringgold Road:

An alarm was activated at Subway.  Police checked the business and it was secure.

4222 Ringgold Road:

Sommer W. and Bryant B. were in an active disorder at this location.  Both subjects advised that nothing was happening between them.

6701 Ringgold Road:

Sommer W. and Bryant B. were once again in an active disorder at this location but left before police arrival.

6725 Ringgold Road:

Sommer W. and Bryant B. were in another active disorder at this location but left before police arrival.
