Day Shift November 29

23-015092 – 700 BLK Marlboro Ave. – Stolen Check (Mail)– A check was stolen from the mailbox at the above location on 11/07/2023. The check was then “whitewashed” and new information was placed on the check. Only the signature of the checking account owner was left original. The amount, approximately $4,500, was then attempted to be mobile deposited into the suspect’s account. Report on file.

23-015094 – 500 BLK Layfield Rd. – Stolen Check – The victim had a check stolen from an unknown manner which was cashed for $4,500. The victim was not sure how the check was stolen but it had her original signature on it.

Night Shift November 29

No Number Assigned – S Germanton & N Terrace – Traffic Stop – Following a traffic stop at this location a man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of general sessions.

23-015105 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Child Abuse – Child Protective Services contacted police referencing Case# 23-012504 regarding drug related child abuse that occurred September 28th. After further discoveries, CPS requests CID to investigate two subjects on drug related child abuse charges.
