The following information is from East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.

April 30 – Day Shift

1612 Castleberry Avenue:

A woman called to report an assault by another woman. There were no marks visible on the “victim’s head.  There were no witnesses to the incident.  The suspect left the residence prior to police arriving.  The victim was provided instruction on the process to obtain a warrant.  East Ridge Code Enforcement personnel responded to the scene and condemned the residence. 

4109 Ringgold Road:

A call of a suspicious vehicle was received.  The car had not been reported stolen and was removed by tow by the business owner at this location. 

1100 Spring Creek Road:

Police were called to the Spring Creek Elementary School after staff recovered counterfeit money.  The caller advised police that a student brought approximately $600.00 in counterfeit twenty-dollar bills to school on this date.  The juvenile advised that he obtained the counterfeit money from his father.  The school was unable to locate any information regarding the child’s father.  The address provided for the family was the Waverly Motel.  The counterfeit bills were placed in secure storage at the East Ridge Police Department. 

1535 Keeble Street:

Police responded to this location after the caller said the tag on their vehicle had been stolen sometime during the night.  Further investigation revealed that the tag belonged to the original owner and was not registered to the caller. 

600 block Camp Jordan Parkway:

A call was received about a homeless man walking on the parkway.  The man was said to have a dog with him.  They were gone upon arrival of police. 

3725 Fountain Avenue:

Police were dispatched to this location regarding a shooting.  The caller advised that her husband accidentally shot himself while attempting to clean his handgun. The husband advised he was cleaning his handgun and failed to remove the magazine and the chambered round.  He accidentally fired a round into his leg.

4209 Ringgold Road:

The East Ridge Fire Department was dispatched to a large gas leak at Jack’s Restaurant.  East Ridge Police responded to assist with traffic control. *

April 30 – Night Shift

4222 Ringgold Road:

Elizabeth Schoate was arrested for theft after she walked out of the store with a 20 oz. Dr. Pepper without making payment.  Ms. Schoate also had a theft warrant for her arrest out of Hamilton County. 

John Ross Road / Greenslake Road:

Police responded to the intersection at this location regarding debris in the roadway.  East Ridge Street Department and Police personnel cleared trash from the intersection.

4010 W. Stump Street:

A caller stated that she observed several plastic Easter eggs on her front lawn.  She said she observed the plastic eggs on April 27th and April 28th.  The caller advised that she had a stalker issue less than a year ago and believed it could possibly be linked.  She said she didn’t see any vehicles or people in her yard.  She wanted a report on file about the suspicious behavior. 

4300 Ringgold Road:

A citizen reported seeing a man and a woman walk behind the corner building at Tombras Avenue and Ringgold Road.  Upon checking the area, police located Jessica Incore and David Evans.  Mr. Evans walked away but was directed back by the citizen.  Mr. Evans ran off across Ringgold Road and into the parking lot of the Epicurean Restaurant and behind 4317 Ringgold Road.  Mr. Evans was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Catoosa County, GA and on a charge of evading arrest. 

3920 Ringgold Road:

Police responded to the Dollar General after an alarm was activated several times.
