What qualifications do you have that make you the best candidate for this position?

I have earned a degree in Communications and have worked for various newspaper publications so have proven my desire to work for the community. I have also been a teacher all of my adult life and since becoming a parent my perception has broadened as far as the educational needs of children are concerned. I have the highest dedicated interest in the welfare of all children in the community. I am highly educated and determined and I am a good listener and observer, therefore I can serve the people of this county as a quality School Board member.

What goals do you hope to achieve as school board representative?

I plan to serve the future of my community and I have a conviction that public education is of great significance. I hope to attain more money for the schools to hire more teachers and aides. I have heard from teachers and administrators that more counselors and social supports are needed. I also hope to improve facilities.

Why should the people of District 8 vote for you?

The people of District 8 should vote for me because I know that a School Board’s primary job is to make the opportunity available for the highest quality of education for the children bestowed in public schools in our county. I have the capacity to make tough decisions and own the consequences. I communicate well with others, am courageous, respectful and professional. I have the motivation and energy to devote to the School Board.
