Police Briefs for August 29

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift August 28

23-010963- 1300 BLK East End Avenue- Suspicious Person- The caller advised during the early morning hours on 8-26 a male on a bicycle was caught on camera loitering around the business and making a mess. They requested an extra patrol during the nighttime hours.

23-010965- 3500 BLK Connelly Lane- Suspicious People- The caller advised three suspicious males were on the property. Prior to police arrival the males fled into the woods towards Ringgold Road. Officers looked in the area but were unable to locate them. A witness advised one of the unknown males was wearing a red shirt and the other two unknown males were wearing black shirts. No other description currently.

23-010979- 4214 Ringgold Road- Found Property- An unknown female contacted police at the department to turn in a set of silver keys that she found at the Splash Pad. The property was turned in to property and evidence.

Night Shift August 28

23-010989 – 1300 BLK St Thomas St – Well-Being Check – Police responded to a Well Being Check regarding a puppy being left outdoors for two days. Police observed the puppy, approx. 8 weeks old brown pit mix, wet and shivering at the front door without food or water present. Police interviewed the resident and owner of the puppy. It was found he was unable to care for the animal. Police issued a Warning Ticket for animal abuse and transported the puppy to East Ridge Animal Control.
