Dean Warns of Scam

Hamilton County Criminal Court Clerk Vince Dean is warning citizens about yet another scam targeting those incarcerated and their family members. “I was advised this morning, by one of the Sessions Court judges that defendants are saying that they, and in some cases their family members, are being contacted by a company claiming to be called ‘second chance’ to get a release from jail.” Dean said. CPD Investigating Grove Street Shooting

On Monday, at 5:59 p.m., Chattanooga Police officers were dispatched to a person shot in the 1200 block of Grove Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 39-year-old male victim with non-fatal gunshot wounds. Hamilton County EMS transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. HCSO Investigating Threats Made to Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts

On Monday morning,  a call to the Hamilton County 911 Communications District reporting an active threat at Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts prompted a large-scale law enforcement response. The school’s assigned Hamilton County Sheriff's Office school resource deputy immediately assessed the situation and determined there was no credible threat. TBI Investigating CPD Officer-Involved Shooting

On Friday at approximately 10:30 a.m. Chattanooga Police responded to a domestic assault call between two parties. Officers spoke with one involved party. Police located the other party soon after in a parking lot in the 3200 block of Kellys Ferry Road. At approximately 11:40 a.m. shots were fired leaving one man dead.
