November 2 Police Briefs

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift November 1

23-013822- 1300 BLK Saint Thomas Street- Suspicious Person- The caller advised a male in the area was trying to borrow money door to door. The man was not located.

23-013824- 3700 BLK Whitehead Avenue- Suspicious Vehicle- The caller advised of a suspicious vehicle parked a neighbor’s residence. The vehicle was unoccupied, and the house appeared secure.

23-013836- 3900 BLK Ringgold Road- Theft- The caller advised of a delayed theft of an A/C unit. There are currently no suspects. The delay was approximately two weeks.

23-013838- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Shoplifting- The caller reported an employee was caught stealing food from the business. Warrants are being sought.

Night Shift November 1

23-013846 – 1400 BLK Greens Lake Rd – Animal Call – Officers responded to this address after the homeowner advised their dog had jumped into their pool and became stuck in freezing water. Officers were able to safely retrieve the dog from the pool without injury.

23-013848 – 700 BLK Summit Avenue – Domestic Assault – The caller alerted police at 4214 Ringgold Road that she had just been assaulted by her boyfriend on Summit Avenue. Police observed her to have a bloody lip and a small contusion on her left temple next to her eye. Police observed a phone conversation between her and her boyfriend. Police overheard the suspect on speaker admit to hitting her and told her “It was a long time she had it coming.” Police arrested the man for Domestic assault and took him to jail without incident.

23-013851 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Rd – Narcotics Violation – Police responded for what employees believed to be narcotics found in the men’s bathroom. Police took the substance back to the police station and placed the substance into property and evidence for destruction.

23-013852 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service – Chattanooga Police were out earlier this evening with a wanted party. He was confirmed to have an East Ridge warrant for Petition to Revoke and was transported by Chattanooga PD to jail. Nothing further.

23-013853 – 3400 BLK Frawley Road – Traffic Stop – Following a traffic stop at this location, a woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of Catoosa County.
