Day Shift February 1

24-001353 – 700 BLK Bacon Trail – Assault – Officers responded to a report of a delayed assault. The complainant stated during a verbal altercation with a man, over parking, he was physically assaulted. Warrants will be sought for.

24-001335 – 6800 BLK Village Lake Circle – Disorder – A man stated his stepmother and father had a verbal altercation on 01/31/2024 sometime late at night. He also told police on 02/01/2024, both parties started to have a verbal altercation, and claimed his stepmother had grabbed a knife. Not enough evidence was present to support prosecution for assault.

Night Shift February 1

24-001372 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Kidnapping / Shooting – East Ridge Police responded to an Assist Other Agency request at this location. Deputies from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop with a kidnapping suspect on the I-75 Exit 1 Off-Ramp. The suspect struck two of the deputies with his vehicle and shots were fired. ERPD units arrived on scene as the shooting occurred. ERPD officers rendered aid and established a perimeter around the incident scene. The suspect was identified. A missing/endangered juvenile was recovered from the vehicle with no significant injuries and was transported for medical clearance. TBI responded to the scene and the investigation is on-going.

24-001356 – 1400 BLK St Thomas St — Assist Other Agency – During a suspicious activity investigation, a party was found to have two active warrants through Hamilton County for Domestic Assault and Vandalism. The wanted party was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

24-001367 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – A man was taken into custody for driving on a revoked license (DUI) during a traffic stop at this location. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

24-001370 – 7600 BLK Standifer Gap Rd – Warrant Service – A party was served with two East Ridge arrest warrants while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. The warrants were for Aggravated Assault and Vandalism.

24-001373 – 7600 BLK Standifer Gap Rd – Warrant Service – A woman was served with an East Ridge Alias Capias while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. The original charge for the capias was Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

24-001375 – 3400 BLK Gail Dr — Stolen Vehicle Recovery – Police located a stolen 2003 GMC truck at this address. The truck was also found to be the suspect vehicle for a shooting in Chattanooga earlier in the day. Chattanooga PD was notified, and the vehicle was towed to the CPD Evidence Bay.
