Police Briefs for March 1

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift February 29

24-002581 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Crash/Arrest – Police responded to a crash with injuries at this location. Upon further investigation, the driver of the at fault vehicle was taken into custody for DUI and Due Care.

24-002659 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Criminal Trespass – Police were called to this address on report of a woman refusing to leave her motel room. She appeared to be extremely intoxicated and was transported for a medical evaluation. Due to her level of intoxication, she was not prosecuted.

24-002579 – 1000 BLK South Seminole Drive – Traffic Stop / Warrant Arrest – After a traffic stop, a man was arrested on a Sessions Warrant. He was additionally cited for speeding and Open Container.

24-002588- 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road- Theft – The reporting party wanted to report his license plate was stolen while eating at a restaurant. After reviewing security footage, the reporting party did not have a license plate on his vehicle when he arrived. He was told to report it with Catoosa County.

24-002580 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Disorder – Police responded to the emergency room for a patient refusing to leave due to his dissatisfaction with the quality of care he received. Upon speaking with the staff, they advised the subject was obstinate and refusing to leave the ER after being discharged. Police advised the subject to arrange for a ride and conduct himself appropriately.

24-002592 – 300 BLK Shepard Avenue – Miscellaneous – Police were dispatched to this area on a kidnapping. Upon arrival, the police spoke with the caller. He stated when he turned onto Ridgeside Dr. he observed an unknown male bent over in the rear seat. He said when he passed by the car, he thought he heard a child cry and the male acted strange and hurriedly reentered his Red Ford Focus before leaving at a high rate of speed. Information was passed onto surrounding agencies and officers checked the area but did not locate the vehicle. The RP stated he was unable to see what, if anything, was in the back seat.

24-002595 – 1400 BLK John Ross Road – Theft – The resident reported in June of 2022 he had a friend helping him move property out of his house into a storage facility. He stated the items had been in storage until just recently. He discovered one of the items, a P320 Sig handgun, was missing. He alleged the suspect admitted to him through text that he had taken the gun and sold it. He wishes to seek criminal charges and will provide police with copies of the text messages. The handgun was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Night Shift February 29

24-002611 – 900 BLK S. Seminole Drive– Attempted Warrant Service – Officers responded to this address after receiving a call advising there was a female at this address with several warrants out of Bradley County and Chattanooga. An attempt was made to contact the party however no contact was made.

24-002612- 7600 BLK Standifer Gap Road- Warrant Service – Police served a man with an Alias Capias warrant for driving on revoked license along with a Forfeiture Capias for driving on revoked license will in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

24-002617- 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Narcotics violation – Police were called for a narcotics violation. Police spoke with the subject about the accusation. Officers were given consent to search the room and found aluminum foil and a burnt ink pen. Police seized the drug paraphernalia for destruction.

24-002609 – 200 BLK Eads Street – Disorder Prevention – Police responded to this location regarding a party trying to retrieve his belongings from his ex-girlfriend’s apartment. He was taken into custody on a warrant out of session court for Failure to Appear and was taken to the Hamilton County Jail.

24-002614 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road– Well Being Check – Police responded to this location after a third party called 911 advising the female in the room was assaulted. Police contacted the woman who stated she was assaulted at 2000 hours. Police didn’t observe any marks or signs of an assault. Police spoke to her boyfriend who had a valid warrant out of Gwinnett County, GA, for Arson. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
