April 17 Police Briefs

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift April 16

24-004792 – 1300 BLK Spring Creek Road – Disorder – Police responded to this address after an unknown male was cursing at the church employees and refusing to leave. The party left prior to the police’s arrival.

24-004785- 1300 BLK Spring Creek Road- Arrest- A different man from the above incident was arrested for public intoxication, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after disturbing staff at the church.

Night Shift April 16

24-004809 – 1200 BLK John Ross Road – Miscellaneous Complaint – Multiple callers reported teenage males throwing water balloons at vehicles as they drive by. Police located four juveniles and three adults at this residence throwing balloons at cars. Police told all individuals on scene that this activity will not be tolerated, and it needs to stop immediately.

23-004820 – 800 BLK Germantown Road – Assist Other Agency – ERPD assisted CPD and Hamilton County SO in a vehicle pursuit of an Aggravated Assault (shooting) and Kidnapping suspect which made its way through East Ridge and then back into Chattanooga. The lead CPD unit lost visual as the vehicle came back into East Ridge a second time. The vehicle was located later in the night by ERPD abandoned.

24-004820 – 3100 BLK Chicalilly Drive – Vehicle Recovery – While patrolling this area, Police located a suspect vehicle from a pursuit in which the driver was a suspect for Aggravated Assault in a shooting and kidnapping. The vehicle was turned over to CPD for processing.

24-004817 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A woman was taken into custody for Forfeiture Capias – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Forfeiture Capias – Possession of Schedule IV for Resale. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

24-004821 – 1500 BLK Karwill Lane– Disorder – Officers spoke with the residents of this address following a complaint that the male party sprayed the female party with a water hose. Both parties were advised to go to bed.

24-004830 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A party was taken into custody on two East Ridge warrants for public intoxication and resisting stop, halt, frisk. The subject was transported to the Hamilton County jail without incident.

16-014739 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Recovered Stolen Firearm – The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office (Georgia) recovered a firearm stolen out of East Ridge. The firearm was a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard that was stolen in December 2016. The owner of the firearm was notified and given instructions on recovering her gun.
