Police Briefs for May 8

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift May 7

24-005807- 4300 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person/FI- The caller advised of a male sleeping outside the business. Officers located he party and advised him to move along.

24-005810- 10 BLK Edwards Terrace- Suspicious Person- The caller advised a male in an orange shirt was walking around the property taking pictures. Police spoke with the male. He was working on the property.

24-005812- 1500 BLK Greenslake Road- Suspicious Activity- The resident called to report someone tampering with her vehicle. Police spoke with her and checked her car. Nothing on the vehicle appeared damaged. She was advised to contact a mechanic.

24-005821- 700 BLK Frawley Road- Unknown Trouble- The caller advised the female in this apartment called and requested help. Officers spoke to all parties in the apartment. Everyone advised they were fine.

Night Shift May 7

24-005830 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody on active bench warrants for Forfeiture Capias x 2, and Alias Capias while attending East Ridge City Court. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

24-005834 – 300 BLK Frawley Rd – Property/Recovered Firearm – Officers were dispatched to this address after the reporting party located a firearm lying in the middle of street. Upon checking the serial number, the firearm was listed to be stolen out of Chattanooga. The weapon was submitted into property pending further investigation in connection to any crimes.

24-005833 – 5000 BLK Newport Drive – Theft – The RP contacted ERPD after discovering one of his firearms to be missing. He advised his CZ Scorpion was missing from its container and he had not seen the firearm since December 2021. The firearm was entered into the NCIC as stolen.

24-005841 – 5300 BLK Dupont Street – Suspicious Person – The reporting party called and stated that her cameras had captured someone walking in her backyard. Police searched the backyard, and no one was located. Extra patrols were conducted throughout the shift.

24-005853 – 4000 BLK Wonder Drive – Back Up EMS – EMS requested police to their location. EMS made police aware that this was the third time at this location in the past 24 hours without an emergency. Police spoke to the caller and advised her of the misuse of 911 law. The mother of the reporting party was also made aware and stated that she would talk to her daughter.
