May 17 Police Briefs

Day Shift May 16

24-006257- 4300 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop- Police stopped a party on a black Honda CB1000 with no tag. He tried to ignore the police during the traffic stop and walked into a store. He was detained, checked for warrants, and released.

24-006259- 4000 BLK Patton Drive- Wellbeing Check- The caller requested police check this address for an 80-year-old female missing out of Catoosa County. Officers located the female. She advised that she did not wish to speak with her husband.

Night Shift May 16

23-009330 – 7600 BLK Standifer Gap Road – Arrest-Warrant – A man was arrested on an East Ridge Municipal Court warrant for Violation of a Protection Order which was issued on May 25, 2023.

24-006263 – 800 BLK Spring Creek Road – Property Damage – Police interviewed a party who wanted to report a pothole that caused damage to his Cadillac sedan at the intersection of South Terrace and Spring Creek. Police explained that the pothole was in the city limits of Chattanooga and referred the inquiry to Chattanooga Police Department.

24-006268 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft-Shoplifting – Police were called to this address regarding a theft. Upon arrival police made contact with the assistant manager who stated a unknown female entered the store and left with $56 worth of merchandise. No suspect information currently.

24-006271 – 200 BLK Eads Street – Auto Theft-Recovery – Officers received a license plate reader hit for a possible stolen vehicle traveling northbound in Camp Jordan Parkway. Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex. After conducting a felony stop on the vehicle, the driver was taken into custody without incident. The vehicle verified as stolen out of East Ridge and the owner of the vehicle was notified.

24-006275 – 800 BLK Summit Avenue – Suspicious Activity – A resident Poindexter Avenue reported seeing someone attempting to get into a car neighbor’s car. Nothing was found after a thorough search of the area.

24-006279- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Intoxicated Person – Police were patrolling the area and observed a male sleeping on the ground in the parking lot. Police took him into custody for Public Intoxication. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
