Day Shift May 28

24-006853 – 1600 BLK Key West Avenue – Deceptive Practice – Police responded to this address regarding an attempt to deceive the homeowner. She stated a male party using the name “Peter Anderson” sent a plumbing contractor to her home without her permission. “Mr. Anderson” also told her she had won $100,000 and that she would need to send him $850 first before he could give her the money.

24-006852- 5300 BLK Ringgold Road- Arrest- A man was arrested for driving under the influence and driving without a license.

24-006857 – 3800 BLK Wiley Avenue – Property – The reporting party informed police her vehicle was broken into at approximately 0430 hours, but nothing was taken. She informed officers her driver’s seat was damaged during the burglary.

24-006858 – 10 BLK Mission Ridge Oval – Arrest – Police were informed of a campsite in the wood line behind a home Mission Ridge Oval. Officers encountered a female who was sitting next to a fire at the campsite, and a male who was building a makeshift patio. Both parties were placed into custody for Aggravated Criminal Littering and taken to Hamilton County Jail without incident. The parties were also given official notice camping on state property is prohibited.

Night Shift May 28

24-006876 – E. Main Street / Woodward Avenue – Assist Other Agency – While assisting CPD with locating individuals that fled from a crash at the intersection of S. Seminole and Brainerd Rd, police located a vehicle that appeared to match the description of the fleeing suspects. East Ridge officers detained a man while waiting for CPD to arrive on scene to continue their investigation. (CPD case number 24-048884).

24-006894 – 3800 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics / Firearm Violations – Police located a man in the parking lot behind the restaurant. Following a probable cause search of his vehicle, he was taken into custody and charged with possession of schedule IV, Simple possession of Schedule VI, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
