Police Briefs for Aug. 10

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift August 8

24-010122 – 1500 BLK Maxwell Rd – Theft – The resident reported a check she placed in the post office drop box on June 7 had been stolen. The check was originally made out to a utility company but had been changed to an individual’s name.

24-010070 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Disorder – A woman involved in a disorder was found to have active warrants and was transported to Hamilton County Jail.

24-010135 – S. Seminole @ Ringgold Rd – Disorder/w Weapon – A man arrived at police headquarters to report a road rage incident that occurred at the above location. The suspect was in a Chevrolet Silverado and brandished a pistol.

Night Shift August 8

24-010147- 1300 BLK West End Avenue- Warrants Service/Narcotics Arrest – Police were dispatched to a suspicious person on West End Avenue. During the investigation, a woman was identified and found to have two active warrants for Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to Manufacture, Deliver, or Sale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. While searching her property, approximately 3.4 grams of Methamphetamine and 5.4 grams of Marijuana were discovered. She garnered new charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Simple Possession of Marijuana.

24-01015-300 BLK Frawley Rd.-Intoxicated Person – Police were dispatched to this location due to an intoxicated person becoming aggressive toward family after a verbal dispute. While enroute police were advised the suspect began walking from the location. Officers located the suspect, and he was taken into custody for public intoxication.

24-010139—4200 BLK Ringgold Rd—SIA/Animal Call – Staff notified police about a puppy that was tied up and appeared abandoned. Animal Services was initially contacted to respond to this location, but the owner arrived shortly afterwards and explained he had gone inside the business and returned with water for the puppy.

24-010152 – 3600 BLK Bennett Road – Warrant Service – A woman was taken into custody on an outstanding East Ridge arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
