Police Briefs for Aug. 20

Day Shift August 19

24-010635- 18270 Interstate- Arrest – While investigating elements of a car crash at the above-mentioned location, police found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia following a canine sweep of a vehicle. A man was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.

24-010639 – 1600 BLK Keeble Street – Domestic Assault/Arrest – A woman called police and alleged her boyfriend laid hands on her before leaving the residence. Police located the man walking down the street and observed multiple scratches on his face, neck, and arms, and saw he had a busted lip. He advised she intentionally scratched him during an argument over money. The female party was found to be the primary aggressor and was arrested for Domestic Assault.

24-010637 – 4000 BLK Sherlin Drive – Suspicious Activity – The resident at this address reported a female in a sedan with a drive out tag slowed down in front of her home and appeared to take pictures of her garage from the street. The resident was advised that this was not illegal due to the garage not being shielded and in public view.

24-010652 – 1200 BLK John Ross Road – Deceptive Practice – A woman reported her SNAP Benefits account was depleted of its funds, which were used in transactions in Pennsylvania.

24-010653 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – The manager reported a male wearing a black hat and a mask left the store in a quick manner and possibly had something bulging beneath his clothing. The employees believed the suspect possibly stole some beer, despite her not observing the subject select any items.

Night Shift August 19

24-010677 – 5700 BLK Roper Street– Overdose – The reporting party advised his roommate had been in the bathroom too long and would not answer the door. Police arrived on scene, forced entry into the bathroom, and found a female unconscious on the floor. Used syringes were found near her. Police performed lifesaving care until EMS arrived. She was then transported for further care in the ICU. completed.

24-010678 – 800 BLK S. Germantown Road- DUI / Arrest – Following a traffic stop for failure to maintain lane, a man was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.

24-010673 – 3900 BLK Bennett Road – Assist Other Agency – Following a traffic stop, a male party was taken into custody for six outstanding warrants through Sessions Court. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

24-010685 – 1600 BLK Heather Street – Suspicious Activity – The resident of this home reported an unknown person was knocking loudly on her door at 2 AM. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the suspicious person.
