Police Briefs for Aug. 29

Day Shift August 28

24-011049 – 1600 BLK Springvale Road – Criminal Littering – Police walked the trails at Springvale Park and observed an enormous encampment occupied by a female who identified herself. Due to the sheer volume of the litter, she was taken into custody and transported for aggravated criminal littering.

24-011059- 3700 Ringgold Rd- Suspicious Person – A concerned passerby citizen saw a male who appeared to be unconscious at this location. Police located the man and provided a courtesy ride for him to Chattanooga.

Night Shift August 28

24-011078 – 3500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – A man was taken into custody for DUI (Alcohol) following a traffic stop for erratic driving. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

24-011075- 3700 BLK Connelly Lane – Deceptive Practice – Police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint at this residence. Police found a man in the vehicle who stated he was attempting to meet a female from Facebook. He further stated he may be the victim of a scam. Earlier in the day, he had sent the Facebook account a $120 Steam Card and a $75 Google Play Card. The female was not at the location.

24-011077 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue – Noise Complaint – An anonymous person reported a dog was crying and sounded like it was in distress. No apartment number was given. Police checked the area but did not locate the animal.

24-011076 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist Citizen – Officers assisted a citizen in retrieving her phone after she accidentally dropped it into a vending machine.
