Sept. 6 Police Briefs

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift September 5

24-011381 – 1000 BLK Lansdell Road- Crash no injuries/Vandalism Arrest – On 9/5/2024, at approximately 0700 hours, police were dispatched to Lansdell Road on a report of an accident with no injuries. Police spoke with the complainant who stated that his friend asked for a ride, and he wouldn’t give him one. The suspect became agitated and proceeded to take the keys to a Ford Focus that was parked in the driveway and then drove away. The party then returned to the residence and proceeded to crash into the back of three vehicles parked in the driveway. Officers spoke with the suspect who stated that he fell asleep at the wheel and caused damage to the vehicles. Upon further investigation of the damage to the vehicles and the complainant’s statements, it was determined that the damage to the vehicles was intentionally caused. He was placed into custody and charged with four counts of felony vandalism and transported to the Hamilton County jail without incident.

24-011408 – 4000 BLK West Stump Street – MVC Entrapment – Police were informed of a crash where a victim was pinned under a bus. The caller stated she was receiving the messages through Facebook, and had also been told a man had shot his shotgun at the bus. Upon arrival, police did not see the crash, a bus, or any other emergency. Officers did find a subject named as the party with a shotgun. Police found that it was a false call and will look further into the incident.

Night Shift September 5

24-011410 – 3300 BLK Shadowlawn Drive – Disorder / Arrest – Police returned to assist a man with an on-going civil issue. He was unfortunately found to have an active domestic assault warrant and was arrested. He was taken to Hamilton County Jail. Conditions of release were served and faxed to NCIC.

24-011415 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Improperly Parked Auto – A party was arrested on session warrants after parking in a handicap spot without proper documentation. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail.

24-011420 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Rd. – Traffic Stop / Arrest – A party was stopped for expired registration. A records check revealed an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Domestic Assault. She was arrested and taken to Hamilton County Jail.
