September 19 Police Briefs

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift September 18

24-011960 – 5400 BLK Sunny Dell Lane – Shots Fired – The caller reported hearing shots fired during the night starting at 3 AM. Police talked with residents in the area who did not hear anything.

Night Shift September 18

24-011989 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder, Trespass – Police responded to a disorder after a disagreement between staff and a customer. A woman was trespassed from the business when she voiced her grievance with the store owner for a policy of “No Exchanges, No Refunds” for a purchase she made which broke while she was carrying it home.

24-011992 – 700 BLK Summit Avenue – Theft – Police responded to an incident of theft that occurred after a resident’s mail was delivered on the doorstep by UPS but disappeared less than one hour later. The victim provided photographs of the UPS doorstep delivery. The incident is being investigated.

24-012002 – 3100 BLK Bimini Place – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to reports of an adult male trying to abduct a female juvenile. The juvenile had texted the man several times and he encouraged her to sneak out. Police advised the juvenile’s mother regarding her daughter’s behavior.

24-012003 – 800 BLK S Seminole Drive – Shots Fired – Police responded to a report of a single gunshot in the 800 block of S Seminole Drive. Police checked the area and did not locate any shell casings. No property damage was reported. No victims reported.

24-01209 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Field Interview – While performing a business check, police were requested to check on a female party who had been parked in the lot for three to four hours. Officers spoke with the party who agreed to a field interview. She stated she had an argument with her roommate and was using the gas station wi-fi. She was negative for warrants. No incident.

24-01211 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Field Interview – While performing a business check, police observed a tan Honda Accord with a female asleep in the driver’s seat. The driver awoke immediately and stated she was tired from a four-hour drive. She was negative for warrants and cooperated during a Field Interview. No incident.

24-012001- 4100 BLK Ringgold Rd – Theft – The victim wanted to report that her purse had been stolen between 1300 hours and 1400 hours. She stated that the purse and all its contents were valued at approximately $4,000.
