Law and Order March 4

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift March 3: A Squad

26-001902 – 6900 BLK Village Lake Cir. – Burglary Attempt – Police spoke with a woman who advised she believed someone broke into her house. She had already repaired the door. She was unwilling to provide any information regarding the attempted burglary. She also declined cooperation at the time of the incident and stated she would call back later.

26-001904 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Mentally Disturbed – Police were dispatched to this location on reports of a male sitting in the middle of the road. Police arrived and identified the man. He claimed God told him to buy a 5th of whiskey, drink it, and sit in the middle of the road. He to be a prophet along with a multitude of other incoherent ramblings. The man was transported to the hospital on a certificate of need.

Night Shift March 3 : C Squad

6-001917 – 1200 BLK South Seminole Drive – Miscellaneous / Criminal Trespass – A representative from the church reported ongoing issues with two parents in a youth basketball league. The church representative stated the parents were very vocal and made derogatory remarks to the juvenile players. Due to a recent incident, the church requested both parents be trespassed from the property. Police Officers stood by to speak with the two parents; however, they did not show up for the practice.

26-001918 – 4300 BLK Worsham Avenue – Assist Other Agency – An Investigator with the Chattanooga Police Department requested assistance with locating a person of interest in an assault case. East Ridge Police Officers responded to the residence and assisted in locating and detaining the individual. The person of interest was then transferred to the custody of the Chattanooga Police Department for questioning.

26-001923 – 700 BLK Barlow Way – Disorder – Police Officers responded to a disorder at this location involving two neighbors. The original reporting party stated his neighbor walked by his house pointing a finger at him and making unintelligible statements. The reporting party did not want to pursue charges but wanted police to be aware of the incident. A few minutes later, the neighbor contacted ERPD and stated there were on-going issues with the original reporting party. Officers found the incident was verbal in nature and no threats were made.

26-001925 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Residential Alarm – Police Officers responded to an interior movement alarm at this location. Police checked the home and found it secure with no signs of forced entry. No one was home at the time of the alarm.

26-001931 – 900 BLK Marlboro Lane – Suspicious Vehicle / Arrest for Other Agency – Police Officers observed a black Mercedes traveling through a residential area at a high rate of speed and ignoring traffic control devices. Police attempted to catch up with the vehicle and observed it exiting onto in I-24 Westbound. The vehicle eventually was stopped on East Brainerd Road with the assistance of the Chattanooga Police Department. The driver was identified and cited for Driving on a Suspended License, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.

26-001933 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with an Alias Capias warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the arrest warrant was Driving on a Revoked, Suspended, or Cancelled License.

26-001935 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – An employee reported a man came into the store complaining that his home had been burglarized. According to the employee, the man looked homeless and would not tell him where he lived. The suspicious person then left on foot walking westbound on Ringgold Road. Police attempted to find the individual, but he was not located.

26-001939 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft of an Automobile – The caller reported that his ex-girlfriend had stolen his blue Dodge Charger. According to the victim, he gave the woman permission to use his car for a quick errand to the Hobby Lobby. Seven hours later, she had not returned the vehicle and refused demands to bring it back. ERPD contacted the suspect by phone, but she quickly became hostile and still refused to return the vehicle. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen, and an arrest warrant was obtained with a charge of Theft over $1,000.
