Day Shift March 13: B Squad
26-001063- 601 Justice Way- Warrant – A woman was served on outstanding East Ridge warrants for theft of property (x2) and Criminal trespass while in custody at Hamilton County Jail.
26-002303- 4200 BLK Ringgold Road- Domestic Assault – Police were waved down by a good samaritan regarding a female who stated her boyfriend had hit her and possibly broken her nose. Officers spoke with the female who declined EMS and advised she was driving herself to the hospital. Officers observed an abrasion on her nose and a swollen left eye. She stated the assault occurred earlier in the day on McBrien Road. She refused to provide the suspect’s last name and stated she did not want him arrested due to fear of retaliation and that he is an alcoholic and was drunk at the time the assault took place. Officers attempted to locate the suspect at the McBrien Road address, but he was not on scene. Warrants for Domestic Assault will be sought upon proper identification.
Night Shift March 13 : D Squad
26-002303 – 1500 BLK McBrien Road – Supplement – Police positively identified the suspect in a reported domestic assault from day shift. Officers interviewed the suspect regarding the alleged assault. A supplement was completed and forwarded to the initial reporting officer for their investigation.
26-002313-5800 BLK Ringgold Road-Unconscious/DUI Arrest – Police responded to the area after a caller reported that a male was unresponsive behind the wheel of a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located the individual. Police determined that the man was under the influence and subsequently charged him with driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license for DUI, and violating open container laws.
26-002317 – 100 Interstate 75 NB – Crash / DUI Arrest – Police responded to a rollover crash on Interstate 75 northbound. ERPD found the driver of the single vehicle involved to be intoxicated. After being medically cleared at a hospital, the subject was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.
Day Shift March 14: B Squad
26-002322-4214 Ringgold Road-Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody on an outstanding petition to revoke warrant out of East Ridge City Court. He was extradited from the Walker County jail to the Hamilton County jail without issue.
26-002323 – Bennett Road at South Seminole – Evading – Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a small scooter operated by a young male in the 1000 block of South Seminole Drive. The rider continued onto Ringgold Road and briefly stopped in the 3100 block of Ringgold Rd just before the tunnels. The rider refused commands to turn off the bike and yelled, “I’m just going to work!” before fleeing the stop. Officers followed the minibike onto Westside Drive, where it was observed turning right onto Dodds Avenue. This is the second attempt to stop this same scooter with the same rider. Warrants will be sought upon identification of the operator.
26-002329- 4100 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder – Two women got into a dispute over a handicap parking spot. The dispute ended with one backing her vehicle up striking the other person. The incident is still under investigation.
Night Shift March 14 : D Squad
26-002344 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Assault – A woman was arrested after assaulting four staff members at the hospital. The suspect was transported to the Hamilton County Jail, where she was charged with Disorderly Conduct and four counts of Simple Assault.
26-002346- 1300 BLK San Hsi Drive-MVC/ DUI/ Arrest – A man driving his 2015 Chevy Camaro South on San Hsi lost control of his vehicle. He left the roadway on the East side of the road, crashing through a telephone pole into two yards, followed by a chain link fence before coming to a rest facing North in a yard. Patrol performed SFSTs and placed the driver in custody for suspicion of DUI. His vehicle was towed from the scene and dispatch called EPB, who responded to repair the pole and downed power lines.
Day Shift March 15: B Squad
26-002350- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Arrest – Police conducted a warrant service at the hotel. The fugitive was taken into custody on a probation violation out of Hamilton County.
26-002352- 1300 BLK John Ross Road- Traffic Stop/Evading – Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the same black minibike ridden by a male involved in two previous traffic evasions in the 1300 block of John Ross Rd. The rider drove around the patrol vehicle and proceeded through the red light at Bennett Road, turning left onto Bennett Road. Due to safety concerns, officers did not pursue. The rider was last observed making a right turn onto South Seminole Drive without stopping at the posted stop sign, at which time officers lost sight of the bike. The suspect has since been identified. Warrants are being sought currently.
26-002359 – 1200 BLK John Ross Road- Domestic Assault – The caller reported that her ex-girlfriend assaulted her while she was attempting to retrieve her belongings from a residence. The caller stated the suspect followed her throughout the residence and struck her several times about the head and arm before fleeing the property. The suspect later returned to her home and was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Night Shift March 15 : D Squad
26-002367 – 4400 BLK Vester Lane – Traffic Stop / Arrest – A man was taken into custody on East Ridge warrants for Drug Possession and Paraphernalia after he was identified as a passenger in a blue minivan. He was found to have drugs and paraphernalia at the time of his arrest, and new charges were issued for Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Methamphetamine for Distribution, Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The driver was also arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
26-002378 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Unknown Medical – A man was discovered vomiting in the parking lot of a gas station. He permitted the police to search his belongings. Officers discovered suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe. EMS responded and transported the man to an area hospital. The man’s drugs and paraphernalia were seized and taken to the East Ridge Police Department and entered into evidence. Warrants have been issued for his arrest for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
