Day Shift July 7: A Squad
26-006387 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Employees said a male became irate and made verbal threats towards employees after he was questioned why he was recording their overhead security camera monitor. The man left in a white SUV and called the store to speak with police. The man told police he was face timing his wife who was in the hospital. The man stated he did not threaten any employees. The store manager advised the business was not interested in prosecuting for any violations and requested the man be trespassed from the property.
26-006395 – Ringgold @ Tombras – MVC with Injuries / Warrant Service – A patrolling officer observed a vehicle crash at Ringgold and Tombras. A female was transported for injuries. Her driver was found to have an active warrant out of Walker County for possession of THC. He was transported to jail, then to an area hospital for evaluation, and back to jail. A handgun belonging to the female passenger was placed into East Ridge Property and Evidence for safe keeping due to the vehicle being towed for disabling damage.
Night Shift July 7: C Squad
26-006406 – 700 BLK Bacon Trail– Alarm Burglar – Police Officers responded to a residential burglar alarm. Upon arrival, Police found the female resident in her home, and she stated everything was okay. She believed the alarm was set off when a delivery truck dropped off her treadmill. Officers assisted with bringing the treadmill inside the home, then departed the area.
26-006407 – 5800 BLK Block Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Seizure – Police conducted a traffic stop with a green Ford Expedition. While conducting a roadside interview, an officer observed marijuana in a lunchbox in the passenger seat. A search of the vehicle yielded a small amount of marijuana, and a THC vape that was not in the original package. The contraband items were seized and placed in the ERPD Property and Evidence Room for destruction.
26-006409 – 700 BLK Haven Hill Circle – Theft from Vehicle – The caller reported a theft from his vehicle. He stated that a work vehicle was left unlocked at this job site and $1,260 worth of tools and equipment were removed from it.
26-006411 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Assault on Police / Arrest – Three police officers were on disorder prevention at the Police Department, when an unrelated white Nissan Altima abruptly pulled into the parking lot. An unarmed male got out of the vehicle and began shouting incoherent words. He appeared upset but officers thought he was trying to report an incident. As he got closer, the male began assaulting the officers by pushing and grabbing them. The officers grappled with him and gained compliance after a successful TASER deployment. The man was then identified. Patrol transported the party to a local hospital for medical clearance. He was then transported to Hamilton County Jail where he was charged with Assault against a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Driving on a License Revoked for DUI.
