COLLEGEDALE – City officials, administrative staff, and employees of the City of Collegedale invite the community to gather on September 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Courtroom of Collegedale City Hall, located at 4910 Swinyar Dr., to honor the life of service lived by Judge Kevin B. Wilson.

A dedicated public servant, Judge Wilson was first elected as City of Collegedale Court Judge in 1990 and served faithfully until his passing on January 9, 2026. Known for his fairness and steady presence on the bench, he left a lasting mark on the Collegedale community.

“Judge Wilson gave so much of himself to this community and this court,” said Collegedale Municipal Court Clerk Rachel Shuttles. “This dedication is a chance for all of us who knew him, and everyone he served, to come together in his honor.”

The ceremony will give the community an opportunity to reflect on Judge Wilson’s legacy and celebrate his years of service to the City of Collegedale. A reception with light refreshments will follow.

Wilson served as interim judge in East Ridge from July 2021 until August of 2022.

The East Ridge City Council appointed him as the interim judge after Judge J. Cris Helton resigned. Wilson served in that temporary role while also maintaining his position as the city judge for Collegedale. He ran in the August 2022 municipal election to secure the East Ridge judgeship permanently, but lost the election to Tracy Cox
