Catholic’s Dallas Brown races toward the end zone.

The Catholic football team moved to 3-0 with a 30-8 victory over Normal Park.

Catholic is a cooperative football program consisting of students from Our Lady of Perpetual Help in East Ridge and St. Jude in Hixson, TN.  Normal Park is also a cooperative football team with players from Normal Park Middle and Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences.

Catholic took an early 16-0 lead after touchdowns from standout Dallas Brown.  Brown finished the evening with 281 yards of offense and three touchdowns.  Also scoring for Catholic was Reeve Mullinax, Charlie Menham and River Stump.

Catholic also moved the ball through the air.  QB C.J. Petrin had completions to Brown, Stump and Sean Collyer.    Catholic’s offensive line was anchored by Ben Bambrey and Maverick Tucker.

Quentin Wilson accounted for the Normal Park Lightening’s touchdown.

The game was a hard hitting affair.  Several players for both teams played tough physical football.  Catholic was the beneficiary of three turnovers.   Defensive end Bradley Summit had an interception,  Michael Howard recovered an on-side kick, and Tucker Berry recovered a fumble.   Catholic’s defensive line kept Normal Park in check.  Brendan Greene and Landon Cooling made several big stops.

Catholic next plays Grace Academy while Normal Park takes on Boyd Buchanan.
