Police Briefs for Sept. 23

_ 3220 Ringgold Rd.: Police were called to the Fabric Care Coin Laundry Sunday evening on a robbery. According to a police report, the victim told officers that he had pulled his car around to the side of the laundromat and a vehicle from the neighboring car wash approached him. The men in the car asked him the time and when the victim told them he didn’t know, one of the men in the car began assaulting him while the other began looking through his vehicle. The report states that the victim told officers that the suspect assaulting him demanded money. The victim got out of the vehicle and ran inside the laundromat. The report states the victim fought back with his attacker inside, but was pushed to the floor. The victim handed over his wallet and the suspects fled the area in their vehicle. The report states the description of the suspects’ vehicle is vague. The victim told officers that he had $200 in his wallet, credit cards and a debit card with a note with his PIN numbers written on it. The suspects were described as two bald-headed black males in their 20s wearing dark-colored shorts and shirts. Police are checking with the management of the laundromat in an attempt to obtain security camera footage.

_ 4222 Ringgold Rd.: Police responded to the Speedway on a theft call, Sunday evening. According to a police report, officers spoke with a man who said that when he used the restroom someone stole money out of his wallet. The victim told officers that he had left his wallet in the restroom when he left to go get more toilet paper. When he came back inside he noticed his credit card in the trash can and $150 cash missing from his wallet. The victim told officers that he saw a middle-aged white male in the restroom when he left to retrieve more TP. No suspect description was provided, the report states. The report states that Speedway will provide security camera footage to police in an attempt to identify the thief.

_ 6725 Ringgold Rd.: Police responded to the flee market, Sunday, on a delayed theft. According to a police report, the victim told officers he parked his 2003 Chrysler Sebring behind the flee market on Sept. 19. He left for about 20 minutes, and when he returned his Raleigh mountain bike had been stolen from the bike rack attached to the rear bumper of the car. The value of the bike is $200. No serial number on the bike was available, the report states. No suspect information at this time.
