June 4 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

June 2 Day Shift

21-007751- 1473 Mack Smith Road- Suspicious Person-

The caller advised of a homeless male sleeping in front on the vacant business. On arrival police spoke with the man. He was checked for warrants and sent on his way.

21-007752- 5512- Ringgold Road (Ruth’s Hair and Beauty)- AOA-

Catoosa County requested police check with the business to see if they were missing a van. On arrival police were advised the business was no longer there.

21-007755- Camp Jordan Parkway (Campground)- AOA/Medical Call-

Police responded with Fire and EMS on a 62-year-old female possibly having a stroke. On arrival police stood by while Fire and EMS checked the patient. She declined medical transport.

21-007759- 1503 McDonald Road (Waverly Motel)- Intoxicated Person)-

The caller advised of an intoxicated black female knocking on doors naked. On arrival police located the female and determined she may have been suffering from a medical issue. EMS was contacted and responded. The patient was transported to Parkridge Main.

21-007766- 5806 Clover/5810 Welworth Avenue- Speeding–

There were multiple speeding complaints today in the area of Welworth/Yale/Clover. Reporting party stated a black Mercedes, blue Hyundai and city sanitation workers were speeding. No tag info provided.

 Night Shift

21-007768    4000 Ringgold Road / Crash-Property Damage: 

21-007776     3100 Ringgold Road-West Bound Tunnel / Crash-Hit and Run: 

A 2000 Nissan Frontier was traveling west bound in the west bound tunnel, hitting the right and the left wall in the East Ridge part of the tunnel before coming to a stop in Chattanooga’s part.  The driver, a Hispanic male, took the key and left the vehicle in the roadway.  The driver was not located.

He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
