Catholic defeated Lookout Valley 40-6, Tuesday at Billy Warren Field on the campus of OLPH.

The win moves Catholic to 5-0 on the season.  Next up for the Rams is Christian Heritage.  The game will be played in Dalton, GA at Christian Heritage school with a 6 p.m. kick-off.

Catholic dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.  The Rams amassed 34 points in the first half and led 34-0 at the break.

Bennett Brinson scored two touchdowns and a two-point conversion.  Alex Osborne also added two scores.  Christian Robinson and Charlie Menham rushed for touchdowns.  QB C.J. Petrin completed four passes in the opening half.

In the second half,  6thgrade running back Sean Green recorded his first middle school touchdown on a 64 yard scamper, putting the Rams up 40-0 early in the third quarter.

Catholic’s starting defense denied Lookout Valley a first down and recovered three fumbles (Tucker Berry, River Stump and Ben Bambrey).

Maverick Tucker anchored the defensive line, while Stump led the team in tackles.

Following the contest Coach Bucky Dearing offered high praise for the attitude and effort of the team, but cautioned against over-confidence.

“We are playing solid football, but we have to stay focused – – there are some tough contests on the horizon,” Coach Dearing said.
