July 31, 2019 By Dick Cook and Contributed Article 0 Comments

After weeks of clearing and resurfacing the former East Ridge High School tennis courts, the City is officially opening the newly resurfaced courts with the addition of lines for pickleball play.

According to a press release, on Saturday, August 10 from 9 am until 1 pm, participants can play both tennis and pickleball with equipment provided by the Chattanooga Tennis Association and the East Ridge Seniors Pickleball group. Refreshments will be served and for those that have never played tennis or have never heard of pickleball, instructors will be on hand to teach both.

For more information about the grand opening, contact Adam Wilson, East Ridge Parks and Recreation Director at (423) 551-0538 or awilson@eastridgetn.gov.

To reserve court time after the grand opening, contact Kim Gann at (423) 805-3111 or kgann@eastridgetn.gov. The East Ridge Tennis Courts are located on the campus of East Ridge High School at 4320 Bennett Rd.
