According to a press release, East Ridge officials have narrowed their search down for the next City Manager two four. Officials will now bring the four finalists into town to conduct public interviews.
The interviews will be held during a special called meeting of the City Council on Thursday, March 5, at East Ridge City Hall beginning at 3:00 pm. The meeting will be open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend as the Council continues the selection process.
This marks the second recruiting process to replace J. Scott Miller, who retired from his possession last week.
The renewed nationwide search attracted a strong and competitive pool of applicants with extensive municipal leadership experience across multiple states. After a comprehensive review of qualifications, background, and executive-level experience, the City Council has identified four candidates to participate in public interviews.
Brian Koral of Kansas City, Missouri, most recently served as City Administrator for Riverside, Missouri. He previously served as Town Administrator for Atoka, Tennessee, and has held leadership roles in Sedalia, Missouri. Koral brings significant experience in capital project delivery, economic development initiatives, public safety investments, and long-range financial planning. His background includes overseeing major infrastructure projects, downtown redevelopment, parks expansion, and regional tourism investments. He holds a Master of Public Administration from Arkansas State University and is a member of the International City/County Management Association.
Rick J. Rudometkin, CPM, ICMA-CM currently serves as City Manager of Belle Isle, Florida, and has previously held executive leadership positions in Texas, Washington, Colorado, California, and New Mexico. His experience includes managing large-scale county and municipal budgets, infrastructure modernization, public safety facility construction, and economic development strategies. Rudometkin has overseen complex organizations serving populations ranging from small municipalities to counties exceeding 700,000 residents. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and maintains professional certifications in public management.
James Tyson Ross of Cohutta, Georgia, most recently served as City Manager for the City of Dalton, Georgia, and City Manager for City of Loudon, TN. Ross also has experience as City Manager of Fernandina Beach, Florida, and as an attorney specializing in municipal and real estate law. His career reflects extensive work in finance, redevelopment, labor relations, and capital improvements. He holds a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University and an MBA from Kennesaw State University.
Glen T. Adams of Pell City, Alabama, brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across municipal and military-equivalent operations. He has served as City Manager in Santa Fe, TX, and as Interim City Manager in multiple jurisdictions including Alabama and Virginia. Adams has overseen multimillion-dollar budgets, guided organizational restructuring, negotiated major transportation grants, and led infrastructure initiatives. His background includes strategic planning, crisis management, and capital project implementation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and has completed advanced municipal and military management training.
The next City Manager will serve as the City’s chief administrative officer, overseeing municipal operations, strategic planning, budgeting, and implementation of policies adopted by the Mayor and City Council. As East Ridge continues to experience sustained growth, capital investment, and redevelopment, the City Council remains committed to selecting a leader who will build upon this momentum and guide the organization into its next chapter.
