According to a press release by the East Ridge Fire Department, the blaze was reported at 12:30 a.m. at 1610 Sunray Drive. When firefighters responded they found heavy fire coming through the roof of the single-family home. A house next door and a camper were exposed to the flames.

The fire was contained and no one was found to be at home during the fire, officials said. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Officials said the estimated damage to the home could be $80,000.

Officials said one firefighter was injured while battling the blaze. The firefighter, whose name is not being released, was treated and released from hospital later Monday morning.
