ERPD Makes Second Drug Bust in as Many Days

August 17, 2023 By Contributed Article 2 Comments

On Thursday, East Ridge Police Department, K-9, and Crime Suppression Team made a substantial narcotics interdiction.

Working with Walker County authorities, a traffic stop resulted in the seizure of 340.26 grams of methamphetamine, 30.78 grams of Fentanyl, and 50 grams of Psylocibin Mushrooms. More than $2,000 in cash was seized from the two arrested.

The quantities of drugs seized will result in Class B Felony charges. As previously mentioned, Tennessee State Law was recently amended to increase the penalties for possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl. We’re committed to rigorously interdicting the flow of these deadly substances into the community.
