The East Ridge Police Department is seeking participants for its inaugural Citizen’s Police Academy. Class #19-01 will begin on September 16, 2019, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and take place for 10 weeks.

The citizen’s academy is aimed at familiarizing our citizens with the various aspects of the law enforcement profession. During these training sessions representatives from various divisions within the police department will conduct presentations and demonstrations on a variety of topics to include, but not limited to: Uniform Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Traffic Enforcement, K-9 Unit, and much more.

This is also a great opportunity to become more involved in your community, and network with others throughout the community.  The ultimate goal is for you to partnership with your police department and improve our community.

Students and applications will be processed on a first come first serve basis and are limited to ten citizens per class.  Applicant must be a resident, business owner, or employee of an East Ridge business and 21 years of age to apply.

You may obtain an application for the Citizen’s Police Academy on the City of East Ridge website, http://www.eastridgetn.gov/Government/Departments/Police.aspx or the police department, 4214 Ringgold Rd. Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM.
