The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum Board has elected Brent Lambert Vice President and appointed him as Chief Operating Officer. He previously served as the museum’s Director of Development and Passenger Sales. He will be providing day-to-day leadership of TVRM’s passenger operations, customer service, retail and food services, and marketing.

TVRM volunteer President, Tim Andrews, will continue in that role while Mr. Lambert will concentrate on day to day passenger operations. “This promotion is a reflection of the growing size and complexity of TVRM and is a recognition by the TVRM board that the organization continues to grow beyond the simple hobby club that formed its roots 56 years ago” stated Vice President and Corporate Secretary Jim Miller. Over 100,000 passengers rely on TVRM to deliver a safe and educational experience each year.

Mr. Lambert has been employed with TVRM since January of 2013, first serving as Passenger Sales Manager and then Director of Development and Passenger Sales. During that time, TVRM ridership has grown by more than 20% and the museum has set new attendance records each of the last three years. He was employed previously by the National Model Railroad Association. Mr. Lambert is nearing the end of his second term as Mayor of the City of East Ridge and is actively involved with the East Ridge Council of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Lambert earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from UTC and a Master of Public Administration degree from Valdosta State University. He was named “Graduate of the Last Decade” (GOLD Award) by VSU in 2012.
