Law and Order April 2

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift April 1: B Squad

26-002920- 3200 BLK Castle Avenue- Shots Fired – Police responded to this area and spoke with multiple residents regarding a shot fired complaint. All parties spoken with stated they either did not hear anything or what they heard sounded like the backfiring of a vehicle possibly from the interstate.

26-002926- 3200 BLK Old Ringgold Road- Property – Police responded to the dealership after staff found a pistol in one of their new vehicles on their lot. Police recovered a Glock 27 GEN 5, ran it through dispatch, and turned it into property and evidence for safekeeping until the rightful owner comes to claim it.

26-002929- 6300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop – Police conducted a stop on a white truck for failure to maintain lane. The driver presented with altered mental status and was given a courtesy ride to the ER for evaluation. Adult Protective Services was contacted and a report was made.

No Number- 1200 BLK John Ross Road- Property – The caller advised he just got out of jail and requested police response as to why there was damage to one of his doors. Shortly after police arrived on scene, he advised he had found the notice where a search warrant was conducted to his property.

Night Shift April 1: D Squad

26-002951 – 1900 BLK Prigmore Road – Shots Fired – Officers responded to the listed location on reports of multiple shots being fired and a suspect vehicle fleeing the scene. Officers were able to view home security footage of the incident and observed a pick-up truck traveling at a high rate of speed traveling South on Prigmore Road. Officers could clearly hear gunfire as the vehicle was proceeding down the road. Officers also responded to a similar call on 03/30/2026 and were able to observe video of that incident as well, which showed the truck passing by the residence and clear muzzle flashes as the driver fires a gun into the air. Officers checked LPR scans for the time of both incidents and identified the vehicle turning South on to Prigmore Road at the time of both incidents. Officers conducted a knock-and-talk at the registered address and were able to identify a possible suspect. The owner was contacted and an interview was requested, however he declined to speak with officers. Further investigation into this incident will be conducted.
