Day Shift December 24: B Squad
25-013217- 4100 BLK Ringgold Road- Assault PD – Police responded after two women reported a mental health consumer threw rocks at them and their vehicle. The two did not wish to press charges for assault or vandalism at this time, but they exchanged contact information with the suspect’s caretaker in order to handle the vandalism to the vehicle civilly.
Night Shift December 24: D Squad
25-013225 – 5700 BLK Roper Street – Suspicious Person – A caller reported hearing loud pops suspected of gunshots and requested police check the area. No indications of a shooting were located by police.
25-013232 – 100 BLK Margareta Lane – Burglary in Progress – The caller reported hearing someone trying to kick in her door shortly after answering a phone call from her ex-boyfriend, who called from a spoofed number. The man reportedly threatened to kill her over the phone before attempting to kick in the door. Warrants are being obtained for Attempted Aggravated Burglary and Harassing Threats.
Day Shift December 25: B Squad
25-013243- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road- Arrest – A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of Marion County. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
25-013248- 5300 BLK Ringgold Road- Alarm Burglar – Police responded to the business after the alarm went off. ERPD conducted a sweep of the building after observing one of the front doors unlocked and found nobody inside. Police requested dispatch to contact a responsible party to secure the business. Management arrived on scene, checked video footage where a male was observed to enter the business in attempt to purchase some items and then returned them after realizing the business was closed. The manager secured the building and did not wish to file a report at this time.
Night Shift December 25: D Squad
25-013252- 500 BLK Frawley Road- Disorder with a Weapon – Police responded to investigate a delayed disorder with a weapon. Officers spoke to the victim who stated that an unknown male, driving a white SUV, almost struck her car as he attempted to merge into her lane eastbound on Ringgold Road after pulling out of a parking lot. She honked her horn at the driver; he then brake-checked her twice on Ringgold Road and once again on Frawley. He stopped his vehicle in front of a church, stepped from his SUV with a wooden bat in hand, pointed at her as he walked towards her vehicle. The reporting party reversed into the church parking lot and drove off in the opposite direction. She described the driver but could not provide any details that would help police identify the male.
Day Shift December 26: A Squad
25-013277-1400 BLK Mack Smith Road-Theft – Police were dispatched on reports of a juvenile stealing a white bike. On arrival, officers spoke with management who provided video of a male with black pants and a black jacket taking the bike. ERPD located the juvenile at San-His and Ringgold Road. The business did not wish to prosecute for the theft. While speaking with the juvenile, he was found to have attachments for running away out of Bradley County. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to JDU without incident.
Night Shift December 26: C Squad
25-013286 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Warrant Service – Police conducted a traffic stop with a gray Honda Accord and identified the driver. It was found that he had an Alias Capias warrant through the City of East Ridge with an original charge of Driving on a Suspended License. The party was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without issue.
25-013296 – 900 BLK South Seminole Drive – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a gray sedan committing several traffic violations and initiated a traffic stop as it entered an apartment complex. Prior to the stop, Police also observed a passenger running from the vehicle and entering an apartment. The driver remained in the vehicle and was identified. Police observed the odor of marijuana in the vehicle and a probable cause investigation revealed drug paraphernalia. While discussing the incident, the driver lied about the identity of the passenger who fled the vehicle. He was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and False Statements. He was also issued citations for Speeding, Reckless Driving, Driving Without a License, and Financial Responsibility.
25-013297 – I-75 Southbound, MM 1.0 – Unconscious Person / Arrest – An off-duty Police Officer observed an unconscious male laying between a parked vehicle and the guardrail on the interstate. Police responded to the location and identified the individual. The man was found to be highly intoxicated and in possession of a loaded Glock 19X. The subject was taken into custody and charged with Driving Under the Influence and Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated.
Day Shift December 27: A Squad
25-013310 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road-Mental Health – Police were dispatched to the hotel at the request of Mobile Crisis. Mobile Crisis stated a party was having a mental break and wanted to set himself on fire. Officers stood by as Mobile Crisis attempted to coax the party out of the bathroom. Mobile Crisis was unsuccessful in their attempt. A CIT officer who was on scene was successful in getting the party to exit the bathroom. Police transported him while Mobile Crisis sent paperwork for a certificate of need.
25-013304 – 1000 BLK Wynnwood Road – Auto Theft – An auto theft report was completed after the suspect took his 1991 Chevy van without permission and neglected to return it in a timely manner. A warrant will be sought for Theft of Property.
Night Shift December 27: C Squad
25-013313 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Criminal Trespass / Arrest – Employees reported a suspicious male was asking customers for money. On scene, Police located the suspicious male and identified him. Police officers had several previous encounters with the man and determined he was criminally trespassed from business. He was taken into custody, charged with Criminal Trespass, and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
25-013328 – 2000 BLK McBrien Road – Motor Vehicle Crash / Arrest – While on patrol, police officers found a blue sedan that had struck a telephone pole. The driver was still with the vehicle, and she was identified. The driver stated the roadway was dark and she did not see the pole. Upon further investigation, officers determined that the party had drank several alcoholic beverages and was driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
25-013330 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Hold – Deputies with the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office located a fugitive from justice out of East Ridge. Police confirmed an arrest warrant through the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the warrant was Driving on a Revoked License. A hold was faxed to the Whitfield County Jail.
Day Shift December 28: A Squad
25-013340 – 1000 BLK South Seminole Drive – MVC / Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody on an outstanding Red Bank warrant for financial responsibility after police responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle crash.
Night Shift December 28: C Squad
25-013341- 6700 BLK Jordan Run Road – Shots Fired – Police Officers responded to the report of shots fired near Camp Jordan. On scene, Police spoke with the victim who stated he was jogging when an apparently intoxicated male started shouting at him from a house on Jordon Run Road. The male suspect threw bottles at him and shined a red laser at his legs. The victim then heard a gunshot. Police went to the suspect’s home but were unable to contact him. A search warrant was secured for the home. Police did not locate the suspect in the house but positively identified him as Bobby Hickman. In addition, a .38 caliber handgun was recovered from the home. Police found the handgun had a working red laser and one expended round in the chamber. Based on the evidence, arrest warrants were obtained for Bobby Hickman for the charges of Aggravated Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
25-013342 – 400 BLK Dunlap Avenue – Disorder – A reporting party stated three adult males showed up at her home and began arguing with her for no obvious reason. When she called for police, the three males left heading on foot toward Brainerd Road. She believed the males were intoxicated. Police checked the area but did not locate the three suspicious individuals.
25-013343 – 500 BLK Wando Drive – Theft from a Motor Vehicle – The caller reported a light-colored SUV pulled up to his residence and an unknown male stepped out of the vehicle. The male suspect then opened the caller’s work van and stole a Fluke multimeter and a Milwaukee heat gun. The suspect returned to his SUV and left at a high rate of speed eastbound on South Terrace. The total value of the items stolen was $1,240.
25-013346 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Assist Other Agency / Warrant Service – The Chattanooga Police Department requested assistance in locating a man after his 2024 Honda Civic provided an LPR hit on Camp Jordan Parkway. Arrest warrants had recently been secured for the party with the charges of Aggravated Assault and Reckless Endangerment. East Ridge Police Officers searched the area and located the vehicle outside of a restaurant. Police entered the restaurant and located the fugitive at the bar with a group of friends. He was taken into custody without issue and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
25-013348 – 2100 BLK East 23rd Street, Chattanooga – Warrant Service – East Ridge Police requested support in locating a homeless male with outstanding warrants for Theft of Property and Vandalism. Chattanooga Police Officers located the suspect and detained him on E. 23rd Street near S. Kelley Street. An East Ridge Police Officer responded to the location and took custody of suspect. He was then served with two warrants and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident. In addition, the party is a person of interest in an on-going fire investigation.
25-013350 – 7700 BLK Lee Highway, Chattanooga – Assist Other Agency / Shots Fired – Based on a support request, East Ridge Police Officers responded to a Shots Fired complaint outside of the hotel on Lee Highway. The reporting party stated he heard three possible gun shots and saw two males running toward the hotel. On scene, Police located several individuals outside the hotel, but there were no signs of a disorder. Police also found no signs of injuries and no property damage.
Day Shift December 29: B Squad
25-013360- 700 BLK Stateline Road- Traffic Stop/ Arrest – Following a traffic stop that concluded in Georgia, a man was taken into custody by the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office. The subject is currently being held pending extradition on East Ridge charges of Possession of a Schedule II substance and Failure to Register a Vehicle (suspended).
Night Shift December 29: D Squad
25-013375 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – While detained during a traffic stop with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, a man was taken into custody for an Alias Capias warrant out of East Ridge for Driving on a Revoked License.
25-013376 – 1400 BLK Sewanee Drive – Domestic Disorder – The caller requested police following a verbal disorder with her boyfriend and reported that he refused to leave her residence. The man cooperated with the police and chose to de-escalate the argument by leaving the scene.
