Day Shift February 12: A Squad
26-001323 – 300 BLK Dunlap Avenue- Auto Theft – Police were dispatched regarding a motor vehicle theft. The owner reported that his black 2012 Hyundai Sonata was missing from his parking lot when he was preparing to leave home. He stated this is the second time the vehicle has been stolen. Previously it was recovered at an apartment complex on Highway 58 in Chattanooga. The owner believes entry was gained because his back door did not fully lock. The vehicle has a distinguishing feature of 5–6 inches of weather-stripping protruding from the hood and bumper seam. He also stated he is the only authorized driver. The vehicle was entered into NCIC.
26-001318 – 1100 South Moore Road – Traffic stop/Arrest – ERPD observed a blue Hyundai Accent without a registration plate, traveling north on South Moore Road. Police initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver, who was found to have warrants out of Rutherford County for Aggravated Animal cruelty and an additional misdemeanor warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to jail without incident.
26-001327 – 700 BLK Flinn Drive – Suspicious Activity – Police responded to the area after a resident reported three young males were going door to door soliciting for a company called Leaf Filter. Attempts to locate were unsuccessful; however, while on routine patrol about an hour after the original call, police contacted the young men near the 400 block of Blue Jay Road. The parties were advised of the city ordinances and were clear to communicate with their management and the city to obtain any permitting already not on file.
26-001324 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – LPR Hit / Warrant Service – Police received an LPR hit for a stolen auto tag, displayed on a black Nissan Titan. Police located the vehicle in a business parking lot. Contact with the vehicle owner was made. He said his brother gave him the plate to use from a white Cadillac Escalade. After a brief conversation, police learned a passenger in the adjacent vehicle, a silver Nissan Titan, and its driver were all related and in town from Alabama to fix the water heater at the business. Those parties were both found to have active sessions warrants and transported to jail without incident. The Nissan driver was released from the scene after learning that his brother did not wish to prosecute for the theft of the plate.
Night Shift February 12 : C Squad
26-001335 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Assist Other Agency / Arrest – A woman was taken into custody at the East Ridge Police Department for an arrest warrant through the Hamilton County Sessions Court. The original charge on the warrant was Domestic Assault. She was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
26-001341 – 1400 BLK Melody Lane – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police attempted to stop a red GMC SUV after observing a light law violation. The vehicle continued to travel at slow pace and eventually pulled into a residential driveway. At that time, the driver was identified. While speaking with him, Police officers observed a small bag of methamphetamine sitting on his leg. A probable cause search revealed another bag of suspected methamphetamine next to his seat. The man was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. Additionally, he was cited for the Light Law violation, Driving Without a License, Registration Violation, and Financial Responsibility.
Day Shift February 13: B Squad
26-001339 – 3000 BLK Kings Point Road – Stolen Vehicle Recovery – TVA Police located a 2006 Winnebago, which was stolen out of East Ridge, at this location. TVA Police recovered the vehicle and arrested an unknown female occupant for Theft. The vehicle was recovered by the owner and removed from NCIC.
26-001351- 3600 BLK Parham Drive- Traffic Stop/Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a woman was taken into custody on five outstanding probation capiases out of Hamilton County Sessions Court. The original charges were theft of property (x2) and possession of controlled substance (x3).
26-001353- 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd- Fall Victim – Police assisted with EMS with traffic control at the establishment after an elderly lady slipped and fell on the sidewalk. EMS took charge of the scene and transported the lady to receive further treatment.
26-001359- 800 BLK South Germantown Road- Open Door – A concerned citizen reported observing the side door ajar at the residence. Officers conducted a protective sweep and observed the door appeared to have possibly been forced open, and the residence showed signs of recent squatting, including trash, burnt foil, and a makeshift bed in one of the rooms. Police were unable to locate a responsible party for the residence.
Night Shift February 13 : D Squad
26-001377 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Unconscious Person/Arrest – A man was arrested for public intoxication and possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia when he was discovered passed out in the men’s restroom. The narcotics and drug paraphernalia were seized, and he was transported to Hamilton County Jail. The suspect was trespassed from Subway.
26-001383 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – A couple driving a silver Nissan Titan performed a “prank” at the pick-up window by demanding the staff call the police because the husband was being held hostage. Both parties admitted to police it was a joke that got out of hand. The food order was cancelled, and both were trespassed.
26-001382 – .20 75 South Bound – MVC/DUI Arrest – Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-75 southbound at mile marker 0.2. The driver was found asleep behind the wheel and showed signs of impairment. He was found to be driving on a revoked license and was in possession of approximately 26 grams of marijuana. He was arrested and charged accordingly.
26-001389 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service – HCSO contacted ERPD to verify warrants on a subject who was in custody at their jail. The man had two active Forfeiture Capias warrants (DUI and Open Container) with East Ridge. Both warrants were served at the jail.
26-001384 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Overdose – Police were called about a male party possibly overdosing in the parking lot. The man was found lying in the parking lot and appeared to be unconscious and non-responsive. Officers then administered Narcan to the male and waited for HCEMS to arrive on scene. Multiple narcotics and paraphernalia were in his truck. Currently, the male does not have pending charges.
Day Shift February 14: B Squad
26-001393 – 3700 BLK Jason Drive – Vehicle Burglary – The caller reported the burglary of his 2018 Toyota Highlander that possibly occurred during the early morning hours. He reported his wallet containing his debit card and license information along with a set of Apple Air pods removed from the unsecured vehicle. He also reported his Air Pods were active and pinged their location to the corner of an apartment building on Fountain Avenue. Officers later contacted two juveniles at the apartment who denied being involved. However, their mother indicated previous criminal behavior concerning one of the juveniles. At this time, the items have not been recovered.
26-001394 – 1400 BLK Saint Thomas Street- Fraud – A woman reported possible fraud after receiving a call from the motel about paying for an additional night, advising she did not rent a room. Officers located a woman who used the caller’s identification to rent the room. The woman had an active Bradley County warrant and was taken into custody without incident.
26-001397- 900 BLK South Seminole Drive- Auto Theft – A resident reported her black Kia Sorento was stolen from her apartment complex at approximately 0230 hours. The vehicle was later located unoccupied in a parking lot in Chattanooga. The vehicle’s ignition had been punched out, rendering it inoperable.
26-001400 – 3700 BLK Jason Drive – Vehicle Burglary – The owner reported his Chevy Silverado was entered on 02/06 and cash was taken. Currently, there is no suspect information.
26-001402- 900 BLK South Seminole Drive- Auto Theft – The caller reported that her tan GMC Sonoma was stolen sometime during the night from her apartment complex. The vehicle is identifiable by two stickers on the rear windshield. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.
Night Shift February 14 : D Squad
No Number – 300 BLK Dunlap Avenue – Back Fire – Police responded to a reported residential fire in this area. Police and Fire spent several minutes attempting to locate a fire without success. Eventually, dispatch got more information from the caller who said they could see it up the hill facing west from Dunlap and South Seminole. Responders confirmed the fire as a controlled flame in a firepit at a residence around South Crest Place in Chattanooga.
26-001409 – 941 Spring Creek Road – Warrant Service – Police were notified that a female was at the hospital who had possible warrants through Hamilton County and East Ridge. Officers contacted the woman and the warrants were verified for both jurisdictions. She was taken to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
26-001410- 1400 BLK Saint Thomas Street- Unknown Trouble – Police were called about a 911 call where no one responded to the call taker, but the call taker could hear what appeared to be a scuffle and a female party stating, “let me leave.” This was followed by a male party stating you are not going anywhere. Police made contact at the hotel room and found it vacant. The female party later returned to the motel and stated that nothing physical had occurred and that her boyfriend had left the area. Officers attempted to locate the boyfriend but were unsuccessful.
26-001416- 3600 BLK Helen Lane- Domestic Disorder – ERPD responded to a call that a male was banging on the front door, windows, and the back door for hours. When police made contact at the residence, the male was at the rear of the house but ran from officers and ignored commands to stop. He resisted when officers attempted to place him in custody and was found to be intoxicated. He was placed in custody for Public intoxication, Resisting Arrest, and Evading Arrest.
Day Shift February 15: B Squad
26-001419-3300 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder – Police responded to the laundry for two individuals vandalizing the machines. A man and woman were trespassed from the business.
26-001423 – Ringgold Road at Prigmore – Traffic stop/Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop on an F150 for dark window tint. The driver was found to be driving on revoked for DUI. He was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
26-001428 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder/Arrest – Police responded to the above address in reference to a disorder inside a room. Officers contacted a man and woman who both advised the incident was a verbal-only disagreement, and no physical altercation had occurred. The woman had active warrants out of Soddy-Daisy and was taken into custody without incident and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
Night Shift February 15 : D Squad
26-001433 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person/Arrest – Police were called about a male who was possibly drunk and refusing to leave the lobby of the restaurant. Police arrived on the scene and found the male slumped over in the seats and not wanting to wake up. When he awoke, he was intoxicated and rambling about how he was in Johnson City. ERPD then attempted to place him in custody, but he began to resist. He was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and Resisting Stop, Halt, Frisk.
26-001435 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A man was served with two warrants out of East Ridge for Aggravated Burglary and Domestic Assault while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail. Conditions of release were delivered to the victim.
