Day Shift January 29: A Squad

25-001050 – 800 BLK S. Germantown Road – Burglary – Officers responded to this address on report of tools being taken from a home under construction. A neighbor’s surveillance camera captured a blue Toyota Tacoma entering the victim’s driveway around the time of the burglary, which the homeowner recognized as belonging to contractors. A traffic stop was later conducted on the Tacoma, and the occupants confirmed they were working on the home earlier in the day but denied taking any tools. A consensual search of the vehicle did not recover any of the missing tools.

25-001045 – 500 BLK Wando Drive – Back EMS – Police responded to assist a party who was having difficulty breathing after food became stuck. Upon arrival the patient had labored breathing and complained of the discomfort the stuck food was causing in her chest. ERFD arrived and evaluated her prior to EMS arrival.

25-001049 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder/Criminal Trespass Warnings – Three people were issued criminal trespass warnings after the staff reported they were being belligerent and argumentative with them regarding the extension of their stay. All parties collected their belongings and advised to vacate the property, which they did without incident.

25-001053 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Deceptive Practice – A resident reported receiving a phone call from a party claiming to be with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and that she had missed jury duty. The party did not request monies at the time of the call but did advise he would call back with further information.

Night Shift January 29: C Squad

25-001065 – 800 BLK S Germantown Road – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation – Police conducted a traffic stop with a white Chevrolet Malibu for a minor traffic violation. During the stop, police conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located approximately 12.8 grams of suspected marijuana. The illegal substance was seized and placed in the ERPD Property and Evidence Room for destruction.

25-001068 – 1700 BLK John Ross Road – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation – Police conducted a traffic stop with an older model sedan and identified the vehicle driver. Upon further investigation, police located over a gram of suspected Fentanyl along with drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The Crime Suppression Unit was contacted concerning the incident and arrest warrants are pending further investigation.

25-001070 – 500 BLK S Germantown Road – Assist Other Agency – Police responded to a crash with injuries and found that a blue sedan had run into an EPB power pole. A transformer along with live wires were also observed on the ground. ERPD units then determined the crash occurred outside their jurisdiction. Chattanooga Police Officers arrived on scene and took over the crash investigation while ERPD units assisted with traffic control. The driver of the sedan was arrested by CPD for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. The loss of power set off several burglar alarms at businesses in East Ridge.

25-001073 – 5300 BLK Rose Street – Disorder / Arrest – Police responded to a Disorder and found an intoxicated female arguing with the residents of the home. The offending party was directed to leave the resident several times but refused each request. She was eventually arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass.
