Day Shift January 23 : A Squad
26-000726- 800 Germantown Road- Traffic Stop/Arrest – While traveling down Germantown Road, officers observed a black Chevy Camaro failing to stop for a school bus with its red stop lights activated. Officers stopped the car and contacted the driver who was found to have a revoked license due to DUI. The man was arrested and booked into Hamilton County Jail without incident for Driving on Revoked.
Night Shift January 23 : C Squad
26-000745 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Aggravated Assault – Multiple Officers responded to the report of a pedestrian struck at this location. Upon further investigation, Police determined that the driver intentionally struck the victim with his vehicle during a heated argument in the parking lot. The suspect then fled the scene prior to the arrival of ERPD. The victim provided a statement then went to a local hospital with minor injuries. Warrants were obtained for the charges of Aggravated Assault, Driving on a Suspended License, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Injuries.
26-000750 – 6600 BLK Hilton Drive – Domestic Assault / Arrest – Police responded to an active fight between a father and his adult son at this residence. Officers determined that the party arrived home highly intoxicated and was an obvious danger to himself and others. The man’s father understood the magnitude of the situation and attempted to keep him in the home. The son attempted to leave, and a fight quickly developed with the suspect striking his father several times with a closed fist. The aggressor was taken into custody for Domestic Assault and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
26-000751 – 900 BLK Donaldson Road– Structure Fire – Police and Fire Department personnel responded to a residential fire after a neighbor reported seeing smoke in the apartment. Firefighters forced entry into the apartment and quickly extinguished the fire. ERFD determined no one was at home in the apartment during the fire and no injuries were reported.
26-000753 – I-24 Eastbound, MM 185, Chattanooga – Assist Other Agency – East Ridge officers responded to a request for assistance from the Chattanooga Police Department after a male ran from a single vehicle crash on Interstate 24. Police set up a perimeter and attempted to locate the suspect in the wooded area. Due to the dark conditions and rugged terrain, the suspect was not located.
Day Shift January 24 : A Squad
26-000764 – 100 BLK Margareta Lane – Prowler – ERPD responded to the apartment after the tenant observed a known male at her rear door attempting to gain access with a key. The tenant confronted the man, and he fled the porch and across the creek. An attempt to locate him was unsuccessful. The reporting party requested her apartment be added to the watch list. The suspect has two active East Ridge warrants, harassment and attempted aggravated burglary.
26-000763- 700 BLK Bacon Trail- Theft – Officers were dispatched to the above address on reports of a neighbor stealing a package. Officers spoke with the RP who stated a neighbor had stolen her package containing checks. Camera footage was reviewed, and charges are pending per the investigation.
Night Shift January 24 : C Squad
26-000766 – 1300 BLK Ridgefield Circle – Suspicious Person / Warrant Service – A resident reported seeing a suspicious male running through her backyard wearing a white hoodie and jeans. ERPD saturated the area and located the male near the East Ridge High School. Upon contact with police, the suspect fled on foot but was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. The suspect was identified and was found to have two active warrants for Aggravated Burglary and Harassment. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further issue.
26-000772 – 3300 BLK Frawley Street – Suspicious Activity – A resident reported hearing five gunshots south of her residence and believed they came from the Donaldson Road area. Police checked the surrounding streets and neighborhoods, but nothing was located.
26-000773 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Well Being Check / Assist Other Agency – Police observed a woman walking in the rain on Ringgold Road. Due to the cold weather conditions, a consensual encounter was conducted to check the female’s well-being. Police identified the woman and determined she was a suspect in car-jacking case from Chattanooga. In addition, she was found to have multiple felony warrants from surrounding agencies. The female was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without issue.
Day Shift January 25 : A Squad
26-000778 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue- Delayed Domestic Assault – ERPD responded to a delayed domestic assault report. The victim told police that on January 24, her husband took her cell phone and refused to return it. To get her phone back, she took the man’s phone, leading to a physical altercation in the bedroom. Police observed a laceration above her left eyebrow. After speaking with both parties, the suspect was arrested for domestic assault and interference with emergency calls.
Night Shift January 25 : C Squad
26-000791 – 6000 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency – During a traffic stop, the driver and passenger of a vehicle were both found to have active arrest warrants. A woman was found to have an arrest warrant for Theft of Property through the Hamilton County Sessions Court. Another was found to have an arrest warrant for Battery through Catoosa County, Georgia. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
26-000798 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Well Being Check – The management at the restaurant requested a Welfare Check for a female who was acting strange and requesting help with a taxi. Police Officers responded to the business and located the subject in the front lobby. Police determined that the woman had just been released from the hospital and did not have a place to stay for the evening. Officers eventually found her housing at the Chattanooga Rescue Mission, and she was transported to the location.
26-000803 – 5300 BLK Connell Street – Suspicious Person / Arrest – A concerned citizen reported a suspicious male looked into his vehicle with small flashlight as he walked by his house. Police Officers eventually located the suspicious party. While speaking with the individual, Police quickly determined he was intoxicated and could not answer basic questions about his location and identity. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to Hamilton County Jail where he was booked as a John Doe.
Day Shift January 26 : B Squad
26-000811- 800 BLK Summit Avenue- Arrest – Police received an LPR hit for a stolen license plate and were able to locate the vehicle displaying the stolen plate at this address. The driver was identified and found to have multiple active warrants out of Hamilton County Criminal Court. The individual was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail. In addition, he was charged with Theft of Property (possession of stolen property).
26-000815 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Pedestrian Struck – East Ridge Police responded to this location regarding a female being struck by a motor vehicle. The woman was transported by EMS. The driver was cited for distracted driving (phone use).
Night Shift January 26 : D Squad
26-000822 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Back EMS – Staff called police after discovering blood trailing out the front door from the restroom. While the police were tracking the blood trail, a guest at a nearby business reported seeing a man wearing bloody clothes. Officers discovered the man walking on Ringgold Road at the I-75 overpass and identified him. He was bleeding from a deep laceration on his leg, which he claimed was caused by a briar. EMS transported the man for treatment.
26-000823 – 4214 Ringgold Rd. – Warrant Service – A man was arrested on two outstanding East Ridge warrants after being contacted by Chattanooga police. On arrival at the jail, he was searched by jail staff who discovered a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine on his person. The suspected methamphetamine was submitted to property and evidence for destruction.
26-000825 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious / Arrest – ERPD responded to the gas station for a male not leaving the store when asked. He had instead opened a beer and sat down inside. Dispatch informed ERPD that the subject had an active warrant through HCSO. He was trespassed from the business and transported to Hamilton County Jail on his warrant.
