Day Shift June 19

25-006461 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Domestic Disorder – Officers were dispatched to the inn regarding two females and a male engaged in a loud argument. All parties left prior to police arrival. One witness stated he only observed a disruptive verbal argument, but a second witness stated he saw the male brandish a firearm on two occasions. While investigating, a woman showed up on scene and identified herself and stated she rented the room with her brother. Officers attempted to verify her brother’s information and discovered that he resembled her child’s father, including the same birthday. When confronted on this, she stuck with her initial story. The other female later showed up on scene and stated a verbal argument ensued after she found her boyfriend, “Duke,” in a motel room with his child’s mother. Both females denied seeing a firearm during the altercation. Because the females were uncooperative in providing truthful information to officers, no charges were sought.

25-006480 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Domestic Assault – Police spoke with the victim of the domestic assault who stated her boyfriend had physically assaulted her at the BBQ aisle of a grocery store. Video surveillance footage showed the altercation, and verified he pinned the woman against the aisle in an aggressive manner. Police were unable to obtain enough information to issue warrants for the man since the victim could not provide it. Warrants will be pending once the suspect has been positively identified.

Night Shift June 19

25-006507 – 4100 BLK Bennett Road – Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries – Police observed a grey Lexus sedan traveling at a high rate of speed on Bennett Road. Police initiated emergency equipment and attempted to catch up with the vehicle. Officers then found the Lexus had crashed into a tree. The vehicle had split into two pieces and the engine compartment had caught fire. The driver had been ejected from the damaged vehicle. Police worked to stabilize the man and contain the flames until the arrival of East Ridge Fire Rescue and Hamilton County EMS. EMS transported for further care. Warrants for Driving Under the Influence and Reckless Driving are pending further investigation.

25-006487 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop with a red Honda Accord and detected the odor of marijuana while speaking to the driver. The occupants were removed from the vehicle and a probable cause search yielded thirty grams of marijuana in small, individual bags. A juvenile male was taken into custody and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute. The juvenile was transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center without further incident.

25-006493 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency – Following a traffic stop, a woman was arrested for an outstanding warrant through the Hamilton County Sessions Court. The charge on the warrant was Assault and she was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.

25-006497 – 700 BLK Bacon Trail– Suspicious Activity – A woman reported hearing multiple gunshots near her apartment. Police responded to the area and concluded the noise was fireworks from the North Terrace area. A short time later, she called again stating someone was rattling her back door. Police checked the area and did not locate any suspicious activity or people.

25-006499 – 800 BLK Eastgate Loop – Motor Vehicle Crash / Assist Other Agency – A concerned citizen flagged down an East Ridge Police Officer and stated there was a single vehicle crash on Eastgate Loop in Chattanooga. The citizen also reported a male driver ran from the scene. ERPD Officers responded to the area and located the driver down the road from the crash scene. Chattanooga Police units responded to the location and took over the investigation. The driver was taken into custody by CPD Officers and charged with Driving Under the Influence, reference CPD 25-052787.

25-006502 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Motor Vehicle Crash / Arrest – Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in the 4100 block of Ringgold Road. A witness stated a black SUV rear ended a white SUV and the driver of the black SUV left on foot. Police located a man walking on East Ridge Avenue and determined he was the driver of the black SUV. Upon further investigation, officers determined that he was intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Leaving the Scene of an Injury Crash, Open Container Law, and Failure to Render Aid.
