Law and Order March 5

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift March 4: B Squad

26-001960-700 BLK Frawley Road-Miscellaneous Complaint – The caller reported that his ex-girlfriend violated the temporary protection order set in place by the court system and that he had messages of her attempting to contact him through a third party. Police did observe the said messages on the third party’s phone corroborating his statement, a warrant for violating conditions of release will be sought.

26-001964- 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Arrest – A man was taken into custody after repeatedly threatening to beat hospital staff and continued to be uncooperative with both police and medical personnel. He was charged with assault on a first responder and disorderly conduct.

26-001970- 400 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy- Alarm Holdup – Staff at the hospital pressed the panic alarm when an unknown suspect was acting aggressively towards the security personnel. The suspect was gone upon officer’s arrival, and security stated they did not need any further assistance from police. Hospital staff have requested additional patrols in this area for the time being.

26-001972- 700 BLK Germantown Road- Abandoned Child – Police responded after bystanders observed a small child wandering around this part of South Germantown Rd. The child’s siblings came out to find their brother and contacted their mother to inform her of the situation. An officer transported all the children back to their residence and spoke with the mother about what took place. ERPD informed her that a DCS report would be filed due to the safety of the children not having parental care at the time of the incident.

Night Shift March 4 : D Squad

26-001973 – 1000 BLK Wynnwood Road – Disorder with a Weapon/Arrest – A woman was arrested for aggravated assault after firing a “warning shot” from a .44 caliber revolver at the ground towards the feet of a man. He had approached the woman’s home security camera and displayed a package of cheese from the supermarket in front of the camera.

26-001976- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Unconscious Person – At approximately 1953 hours, officers were dispatched to the store regarding a male who appeared to be passed out on the roadside. Upon arrival, officers canvassed the area and spoke with staff but were unable to locate the individual.

26-001983 – 5400 BLK Connell Street – Noise Complaint – Police searched for the source of multiple reports of a loud explosion in the vicinity of the 5300 block of Ringgold Road. Officers were unable to determine the cause of the disturbance, but no evidence of an explosion was found.

26-001985- 6500 BLK Garner Street – Burglary In Progress – At approximately 2354 hours, officers were dispatched to a residential address in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers contacted the male subject and the homeowner, who both stated the individual was delivering a DoorDash order.

26-001986- 6500 BLK RINGGOLD RD. – Unknown 911 – At approximately 0050 hours, officers were dispatched regarding a female possibly in distress. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party and her friend. Both individuals stated they did not need medical assistance and that everything was normal. Both parties then left without incident.

26-001987 – 1100 BLK South Moore Road – Shots Fired – Police checked the area after a single resident reported hearing a loud bang consistent with a shotgun, possibly their neighbor’s residence. A well-being check was performed next door, and the occupant reported she was asleep. No indications of a disorder were observed by ERPD.

26-001988-4200 BLK Ringgold Road- Well Being Check – At approximately 1836 hours, officers were dispatched to gas station in reference to a male in possible distress, reportedly striking his head while seated in a vehicle. The driver advised that everything was fine and stated he had been reacting to a game he was playing on his phone and had become excited.

26-001990-4214 Ringgold Road – Remove stolen vehicle from NCIC – At approximately 1714 hours, the owner of a previously reported stolen Dodge Charger was with Chattanooga Police Department officers, who verified that the owner had recovered and taken possession of the vehicle. The owner requested that the vehicle be removed from the National Crime Information Center records.

26-001991-3700 BLK Ringgold Road- Alarm – Police responded to the listed address for a motion alarm. Officers found that a driver was dropping off his delivery.

26-001993 – 1200 BLK Greens Lake Road – Found Property – While on routine patrol, police discovered an abandoned purse.TN ID cards were located inside a black purse with various personal belongings, including red sunglasses, lottery tickets, insurance cards, and a Social Security Benefits card. The officer attempted to contact phone numbers associated with the TN ID cards. The property is being held for safekeeping at the East Ridge Police Department.
