Mouw Concerned About Development

I am concerned about the amount of traffic we will be having on Frawley Road starting October 12th. With all the new construction, including apartments, and now all the Camp Jordan traffic coming in the back entrance it will be quite congested.

Also, it doesn’t seem fair to the fireworks business at the old Shoneys location to see two new buildings built exlusively to sell fireworks. How can three of the same businesses make it at the same exit?

Finally, can we try to bring in a nice sit-down restaurant or two? It seems it would bring in revenue and jobs for our residents.

Dick Cook has lived in East Ridge since the Kennedy Administration when his parents bought a house on Marietta Street. Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. Dick worked for the Chattanooga Free-Press and the Chattanooga Times Free Press for 22 years. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
