Police Briefs for Sept. 25

This information was compiled from East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.

September 24 Day Shift

4214 Ringgold Road (Warrant Service):

Almira Selman turned herself in to police on warrants for Simple Assault and Aggravated Burglary. Selman was booked at the police department and released to her bondsman.

4145 Ringgold Road Apartment 60F (Auto Burglary):

The resident reported her vehicle had been entered sometime last night. Her wallet was stolen from her console, and her trunk had been gone through. No suspect information.

1517 Tombras Avenue (Warrant Service): Jamal Jarrett was taken into custody on active East Ridge warrants for Identity Theft and Theft of Property and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

100 Interstate 75 NB (AOA):

Walker County Sheriff’s Office requested police check the welcome center for a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was not located.

5306 Clemmons Road (Disorder Prevention):

Police responded to this location for a disorder prevention while a woman attempted to get her dolls back from her former mother-in-law who lives at this location. Police made contact with homeowner. The homeowner stated the dolls had been removed by her grandson months earlier. The reporting party then left.

Numerous eighteen wheelers were cited for attempting to enter the tunnels.

951 McBrien Road (Mental Health):

Police responded to the Church of Christ in reference to an intoxicated male. Police made contact withthe man who had self-inflicted cuts on his arm. He was transported to Parkridge East for a mental evaluation and immediately was issued a CON. He then became hostile toward hospital staff and was restrained so staff could inject him with medication to sedate him.

Night Shift

1517 Tombras Ave. (Warrant Svc):

Jeremy Womack was taken into custody at the East Ridge City Court for three (Burglary, Theft under $1,000, and Theft of Property) East Ridge Warrants.

4300 Ringgold Rd. (Warrant Svc):

Kelcey Rodgers was taken into custody on an Alias Capias Driving On Revoked, East Ridge Warrant #124577

4420 Dodds Ave (Warrant Service):

Ilmira Heinsohn was arrested on an East Ridge warrant for driving on a revoked license.  Heinsohn was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

5519 Ringgold Road (Attempted Burglary):

Witness reported that a short, white male attempted to break the front glass door at the Tennessee Title Loan.  Witness stated that the suspect fled eastbound on Ringgold Road when the audible alarm was tripped.  A responsible party responded to the location and found nothing missing.

328 Michelle Dr/Narcotics Violation:

Christopher Meyer was issued a misdemeanor citation for 6 grams of marijuana after a female flagged down police during an argument.

6600 Ringgold Road/Arrest Warrant:

David Crooks was arrested on a Hamilton County warrant (Theft under $1,000) following a traffic stop at this location.

6514 Ringgold Road/Public Intox:

Ronnie King was arrested for public intoxication after the clerk at Mapco observed him consuming alcohol in his vehicle in the parking lot.

1665 Waterhouse St (Fight):

Reporting Party called in stating a black male and black female were physically fighting in the parking lot. Police made contact with the individuals. They were talking laughing with one another. They stated they were friends playing around with each other. No signs of any fighting.

1402 Dover Lane (Noise):

RP called stating, a dog was barking outside next door and possibly was being abused. Police spoke to the owner regarding the issues and told them options to surrendering the dog.

6510 Ringgold Rd (SIA):

While patrolling the 6500 block of Ringgold Rd, two people were observed sleeping on the property of the old 4A’s motel, in front of the fence. The man and woman stated they got a ride to East Ridge earlier in the evening and did not have money or a place to go. They stated they were waiting for a friend to pick them up at 2:45am. I advised them they could not be sleeping on private property or on a sidewalk.
