Police Briefs June 19

June 19, 2018 By Dick Cook 0 Comments

_ 800 block South Gergmantown Rd.: On Saturday evening, officers were dispatched to the area in reference to a woman walking down the street taking off her clothes. According to a police report, when the officer arrived he immediately noticed a naked black woman walking on the roadway holding a Bible and singing. The officer escorted the nude woman from the road but she continued to sing. The report states that one officer asked the woman several times for her name but she would not acknowledge the officers who were present.  EMS arrived on the scene and took the woman to Parkridge East hospital. Officers located a cellphone and were able to contact the woman’s mother, who provided her name and other information. Police established that the woman – whose name was redacted from the report – had a warrant out of Hamilton County. The nature of the warrant was not supplied in the report. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department Office was notified that the woman would be at Parkridge in the event deputies wanted to pick her up on the outstanding warrant.

_ 3716 Anderson Ave.: Police were dispatched to the address, Thursday morning, in regard to a theft from a vehicle. According to a police report, an officer spoke with a man who explained he had gone to his doctor last month and had his medications for narcotics refilled. The man explained that he placed the next two months’ written prescription in the glove compartment of his car. The man told police that he went to the car on Thursday morning to get the written prescription in anticipation of having it filled. That’s when the man discovered that both written prescriptions for June and July had been stolen. The report states that the last time the victim knew the prescriptions were in the glove compartment was the day he left the doctor’s office. It is unclear if the prescriptions were stolen from his vehicle in his driveway or some other place. No suspects at this time.

_ 5405 Marion Ave.: Police responded to the address on a burglary of a motor vehicle, Saturday afternoon. According to a police report, when an officer arrived he spoke with a man who said that his wallet was stolen from his car sometime after late Thursday evening. The victim told police that he came home from work on Thursday and left his wallet in the driver’s side door. On Saturday afternoon, the man said he received an alert from his bank that someone had tried to access his online account. At that point, the victim said he went to his car and found his wallet, containing multiple bank cards and other vital documents, had been stolen. The report states the victim was unsure if he locked his car on Thursday evening. No suspect information.
